Pleasant; explains in detail ; competent and thorough

Thank you for your review. I am very pleased to hear that you found your consultation pleasant, thorough and informative. It is greatly appreciated that you took the time to share your experience.
Dr R Jose is a wonderful professional doctor. I felt really listened to, for the first time in years. I came to him as I had experienced lots of debilitating respiratory symptoms which are having a detrimental effect on my life. I have seen many consultants over the years who have left me on 6-7 courses of steroids & antibiotics every 6 months. No real answers, diagnosis or treatment. He is very meticulous in his questioning & he hears what you say. He read all my reports & looked at all my previous imaging. He put all the pieces together & I feel confident in his plan moving forward. My only regret is that I didn’t come sooner.
I have seen Dr Ricardo Jose several times for tests and follow-up. He always takes the time to explain clearly his thought process and I feel confident that I am getting top quality treatment. An excellent experience.
Received very clear instructions from Dr. Jose on how the issue I have will be tackled. Pleased with the treatment so far and will continue with Dr. Jose and his team.
Doctor was efficient, extremely kind, took the time after hour to walk me through the hospital for additional examination. It is rare to see such empathy and general care/duty. Would recommend blindly.
I came to see Dr Jose after another respiratory consultant in my local town had been dismissive. In comparison Dr Jose was superb, he asked me all the relevant questions, suggested some more tests, listened to my chest, reassured me on certain elements and put together a mental picture of me and my issues very quickly. He advised a scan and for me to continue with yearly blood tests as having the element of advance warning is something not to be lost. In comparison the first consultant had dismissed me out of hand and told me not to bother returning for ten years. Dr Jose made the point that tumours are unpredictable and I feel very reassured that my blood tests are being taken seriously and I am in caring and good hands.
I have been seeing Dr José in recent months for help with some breathing problems. He explained very clearly his initial thoughts on the problem, which was then confirmed, through various tests, and he gave me a clear plan of action for treating the diagnosed breathing pattern disorder with respiratory physiotherapy. Dr José was very kind, reassuring and helpful and I feel confident that I will be able to resolve my problems in time.
Fighting a persistent cough refractory to any other medication prescribed by GP, I had the chance to be seen by Dr Ricardo Jose. He took time with me by asking me the history of my cough, and of my condition, and told me the first impression of my refractory persistent cough. Dr Jose Ricardo is a very professional, kind, listening to my health needs and responding with a prompt plan and treatment which I am following. Thank you very much Dr Ricardo Jose for your care and for your professionalism.
I would highly recommend seeing Dr Ricardo Jose, he is so professional, listened to all of my concerns. He was extremely thorough and didn’t rush at all. Dr Ricardo Jose telephoned me the next day to see how I was getting on with the new medication and to see how I was. The staff at The Royal Brompton from the reception, to the nurses to seeing the consultant were all first class.
Ricardo is an exceptional and thorough respiratory physician. He has an eye for detail and provides an excellent standard of care. I always feel confident in referring patients with respiratory disease to him, knowing they will be looked after efficiently, and with the utmost care.

Bronchiectasis is a heterogenous disease with multiple aetiologies resulting in inflammation and dilatation of the airways with associated mucus production and chronic respiratory infection. The condition is being recognised ever more frequently as the availability of computed tomography increases. It is associated with significant morbidity and healthcare-related costs. With new understanding of the disease process, varying endotypes, identification of underlying causes and treatable traits, the management of bronchiectasis can be increasingly personalised.

Introduction: Hematologic malignancies are cancers of the blood, bone marrow and lymph nodes and represent a heterogenous group of diseases that affect people of all ages. Treatment generally involves chemotherapeutic or targeted agents that aim to kill malignant cells. In some cases, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HCT) is required to replenish the killed blood and stem cells. Both disease and therapies are associated with pulmonary complications. As survivors live longer with the disease and are treated with novel agents that may result in secondary immunodeficiency, airway diseases and respiratory infections will increasingly be encountered. To prevent airways diseases from adding to the morbidity of survivors or leading to long-term mortality, improved understanding of the pathogenesis and treatment of viral bronchiolitis, BOS, and bronchiectasis is necessary. Areas covered: This review focuses on viral bronchitis, BOS and bronchiectasis in people with hematological malignancy. Literature was reviewed from Pubmed for the areas covered. Expert opinion: Airway disease impacts significantly on hematologic malignancies. Viral bronchiolitis, BOS and bronchiectasis are common respiratory manifestations in hematological malignancy. Strategies to identify patients early in their disease course may improve the efficacy of treatment and halt progression of lung function decline and improve quality of life.

Infections with the pathogen, Streptococcus pneumoniae, are a common cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. It particularly affects those at the extremes of age and immunocompromised individuals. Preventing pneumococcal disease is paramount in at risk individuals, and pneumococcal vaccination should be offered. Here, we discuss the role of pneumococcal vaccination in specific groups of immunocompromised hosts.
