Dr Himender Makker

Dr Himender Makker is a leading Consultant in Respiratory Medicine with HCA Healthcare at Harley Street Clinic, along with an NHS role at North Middlesex University Hospital. He has a clinical interest in sleep apnoea, and while working at University College London Hospital established a sleep service, providing in-house sleep assessment and developed care pathways and protocols.

After graduating with a Medical Degree, Dr Makker completed an extensive rotational scheme in respiratory medicine, including a Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians. Dr Makker established a multidisciplinary service alongside neuropsychologists and medical physicists to investigate and treat neuropsychological impairment in sleep apnoea. He was awarded an MD for his research contributions to his field and has become a public figure writing for health magazines and appearing on TV and Radio shows. He remains active in Medical Education, organising study days for fellow healthcare professionals and trainee respiratory specialists.
