About Mr Dev Mahadevan
Dev Mahadevan is a leading Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle specialist. His major clinical interest is in arthroscopic and minimally invasive (keyhole surgery) treatment. He believes in a patient centred and outcome driven approach to managing foot and ankle pathologies.
He graduated from the University of Nottingham, completed his specialist Orthopaedic training in the East Midlands Deanery and then undertook advanced training in foot and ankle surgery at the renowned Avon Orthopaedic Centre in Bristol.
Dev is well respected in the field of research with a strong portfolio of international publications and presentations. He sits on the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS) Scientific Committee and European Foot and Ankle Society (EFAS) Research Committee.
His research interest is on bunion treatment, hallux rigidus, Morton's neuroma and Achilles tendon ruptures and disorders.
Dev Mahadevan previously served as Clinical Director of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery at Royal Berkshire Hospital.

All the way through the process Dr Mahadevan explained everything clearly and made sure I understood how my operation would go & how long the eventual recovery would take and the discomfort I'd be in and for how long. Nothing was ever to much trouble for Dr Mahadevan.
I had a lot of pain in my big toe for a few years but from the day after the operation (fusion of the big toe) I was pain free, just sore. He was very gentle and explained the aftercare thoroughly. I listened and adhered to his advice and am glad I did as it worked. I would definitely recommend Mr Mahadevan.
