Thanks to your outstanding surgical skills, dedication, and genuine compassion, my recovery has progressed brilliantly. I am now walking with confidence, free from the constant pain that plagued me before, and getting back to enjoying life in ways I hadn’t thought possible. You didn’t just perform a procedure; you restored my quality of life, and for that I will always be profoundly thankful. I received my care at the Spire Regency Hospital in Macclesfield following a unicompartmental knee replacement in November 2025, and the standard of care throughout was excellent. From recovery through to the ward, the post-operative care was consistently compassionate, professional, and attentive. Every member of staff I encountered — from nursing and medical staff to healthcare assistants, physiotherapists, and catering staff — was kind, supportive, and clearly committed to patient wellbeing. Although I didn’t manage to note everyone’s name, those I did were outstanding and a real credit to the hospital. The physiotherapy support was particularly impressive. My post-operative physiotherapist understood exactly how far my knee should be bending at each stage and struck the right balance between encouragement and reassurance. This helped me overcome the understandable mental barriers around pain and guarding, and I was given a clear and structured recovery exercise plan to follow at home.

My wait time was excellent, I was seen ahead of my appointment time. The individual who picked me up to take me to the MRI was very friendly and kind. Unfortunately, that’s when things got somewhat awkward. The actual MRI attendant who was in charge of asking me the safety questions in advance found herself having a disagreement with a member of staff on another ward whilst with me. I understand that people are overworked and underpaid - resourcing has always been an issues (I have worked for the NHS), however, having an argument over who would tend to someone being seen after me is something that should not have happened infront of me. A joke was made of it when she hung up the phone but it was incredibly uncomfortable for me.

I found Dr Hadavi to be very patient and an excellent listener. I didn't feel that he rushed me at all and he took the time to listen to my long and somewhat complicated medical history and symptoms. He asked lots of questions and I felt he was very comprehensive in his consultation and thorough in his examination. I suffer with anxiety and find medical environments very triggering due to previous negative experiences with medical professionals, but Dr Hadavi made me feel respected and at ease and I felt reassured at the end of the appointment. He was also very quick to respond to my queries over email. He has referred me for tests and I feel confident that he will be able to help me get the answers and treatment I need.

Sarah is a super friendly and helpful physiotherapist. She designs my plan, demonstrating and then watching me do the exercises to ensure I am doing them correctly. She also determines the correct weight for each exercise which I would not have had any idea about. My lower back sciatic type pain is improving as is my strength. The MoveHealth App is excellent and I can log my progress there and see videos of each exercise to check between reviews I am doing them correctly. The location is perfect for me and each review session has been helpful for my progress. There is no pressure to have a review - only when it seems appropriate. Very happy and grateful for Sarah's expertise and guidance.

Ania was kind and welcoming as always. She always asks me how things are and I tell her at length! She picks up a key issue to focus on, this time it was the window of tolerance and strategies to help me be curious, open and flexible. She is kind and supportive and helps me to see what I do well and how I can live more in accordance with my values rather than being angered repeatedly by small things or anxious about them. We both thought we were at a stage where I did not need to come to the sessions any more and I think this shows what a great practitioner Ania is and how well she understands me. The waiting area had few chairs and not enough for the people waiting. The people around there that gave me paperwork and told me where to wait, were polite and helpful. The appointment with the consultant was really distressing, I couldn't ask questions and didn't discussed with me the plan, just set up steps without getting me involved on her treatment plan. This experience was very negative from what I expected when you go to a professional asking for advice and reviewing if your body is working well. I visited twice due to a stiffness in my neck. Rey was exceptionally friendly from the start and I felt I was listened to and he understood the issues I had been experiencing. I was very happy with the treatment feeling a notable difference minutes after the first session. They really do give good customer service and will not try to add extra, unnecessary sessions to get more money - my treatment lasted two sessions, and I was told to listen to my body and get back in contact if and when I need to. I will definitely be going back, even if it’s just for a quick readjustment.

Hugest thanks to Dr Onur Gilleard for removing the cyst like lump on my face - he is an incredible highly skilled Plastic surgeon - the procedure was pain free, very quick and I couldn't believe how neat and small the incision and stitches were which are healing beautifully. It was only a week ago however I have absolutely no doubt that there will be minimal scarring due to his expertise. Dr Gilleard and the nurse were incredibly kind and caring and totally put me at ease. Would totally recommend to anyone.

The only area for improvement is the check-in process - quite often there is a queue of people waiting at reception and the vehicle registration screen is separate to the check-in form, which isn't very efficient. The waiting area and exam rooms are clean and tidy, the staff is friendly and helpful. I prefer coming here despite it being a longer drive than my nearest private hospital because of the great experience I've had previously.
