About Dr. Conrad Beckett
Dr Conrad Beckett is a Consultant Gastroenterologist who specialises in bowel cancer screening, luminal gastroenterology and pancreatico-billary diseases with over two decade of experience in the field.
Dr Beckett is an accredited bowel cancer screening colonoscopist. Conrad was clinical director of the Bradford/Airedale bowel cancer screening program until he retired from Bradford Teaching Hospitals in July 2025.
Dr Beckett has 25 years of experience in pancreato-biliary disease. Conrad was Clinical lead for the network pancreatic MDT. Conrad carried out endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP and 'spy-glass' cholangioscopy to the highest standard.
Dr Beckett initially qualified for medicine in 1989 at the Royal Free Hospital Medical School, and undertook his training in London. He went on to gain membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 1992, and also his medical doctorate on the topic of coeliac disease at the St. Thomas Hospital Gastroenterology Unit, in 1998.
Dr Beckett was appointed Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Bradford Hospitals Teaching Trust in 2000. Conrad was departmental lead for gastroenterology for ten years. Conrad has made substantial progress with endoscopic techniques since his appointment began. Conrad is well accomplished in scientific research, being part of several peer reviewed papers and also giving various talks on gastroenterology.

I have had more than one Colonoscopy with Dr Beckett and every time he has been extremely helpful and explained exactly what will be happening during the procedure. He is also very good at following up after the procedure and describing the results. Overall a great Doctor.
