Excellent from start to finish.

Newmedica completed my cataract assessment, surgery and aftercare in a very professional yet friendly manner. All the clinic staff are welcoming and reassuring throughout the process. My consultant, Mr David Dunleavy gave me all the information I needed about my condition and the choices I had about surgery. I was able to make an informed decision without any pressure to do one thing or another. I am delighted with the outcome of my cataract surgery and with the care and information I received from Newmedica throughout the process. I would highly recommend them.

Two visits. One in October 2025 and one in May 2026 for cataract surgery.

Friendly and efficient

I attended for cataract surgery in my left eye. There were plenty of helpful and friendly staff at every stage of the process Everything seemed very thorough and nothing was left to chance. The surgeon Mr Khan spoke to every patient before surgery. He was very reassuring and explained exactly how things were going to proceed and exactly what he was going to do. The procedure went exactly as explained and there were no complications. Post surgery I was looked after very well and given time to recover with coffee and a biscuit. I was sent home with medication in the form of eye drops and a comphensive information pack of dos and don'ts to aid my recovery. The whole process lasted about 2 hours with the surgery taking about 10 minutes. The whole process ran very smoothly. It's now 10 days after and the improvement in left eye is amazing. The colour, clarity and focus are all excellent. I am looking forward to having the second eye done.

It's early days as I had complex cataract removal done on the 23rd July. I was told this could be difficult. Mr Khan saw me post operation to say he was happy to proceed. On the day, again we spoke about the risks involved which is not normal for straight forward cataract surgery. I had previously had 2 corneal grafts, so risky. Mr khan told me to relax and let him do the hard work.. One week on, nearly. I am amazed how much vision I have back. The fact I have had corneal grafts done means my sight will never be perfect but the improvement is massive.. He was calm, collected and made me feel as ease. Still early for me as graft could reject but medication prescribed is stopping the chances of that happening. I really can't thank Mr Khan enough for his skill, dedication, especially with a difficult case. I have no hesitation in saying to anyone, trust him. Thanks to him and his team who are super efficient.
