Mr David Dunleavy

Mr. David Dunleavy is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust, specialising in Corneal, Cataract, and Refractive surgery. With over a decade of experience in ophthalmic practice, he has gained extensive expertise, both nationally and internationally. His prestigious training includes fellowships at renowned institutions, notably at Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Infirmary in Ireland, where he developed his skills in all aspects of corneal and anterior segment surgery.

Mr. Dunleavy is an advocate for innovative surgical techniques, performing advanced corneal transplantation procedures such as SALK, DALK, DSAEK, and DMEK. He is also recognised as an expert in the management of keratoconus, employing state-of-the-art treatments like corneal collagen crosslinking (CXL), Kerarings, and CXL-PRK. His proficiency in refractive surgery is supported by his CertLRS qualification from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and a postgraduate degree from the University of Ulster.
