Debbie McKenzie is a Dental Hygienist at Vermilion and works closely with our periodontal team to provide long-term maintenance support for patients in Edinburgh.
After graduating, Debbie gained her experience working at King’s Cross Hospital in London as a Staff Hygienist. She returned to her hometown, Glasgow, where she worked for 16 years in specialist referral dental practices as well as general dental practice.
Debbie then joined Glasgow’s Dental Hospital and progressed to the post of Clinical Research Hygienist in the Clinical Research Facility, where she managed the Facility and treated patients who were recruited in commercial and academic clinical trials for four years. She continues to work part-time as a key opinion leader and speaker for implant maintenance courses and postgraduate hygienist training courses across Scotland.

Debbie was the first person I met at Vermillion, I felt welcomed and at ease. The whole team has been amazing, professional, friendly, and genuinely caring. Always an absolute pleasure coming to Vermilion, the staff are just on another level. I honestly think you wouldn’t get that kind of treatment anywhere else in the country. Customer service is first class. Everyone, from the admin teams and front of house, to the Drs and Hygienists. Had my third Hygienist appointment with Debbie last week, she is absolutely amazing, always feel better after seeing her (mentally and with a sparkling mouth 😂). Also, Dr Martin Morley is also such a great guy, so easy to talk to and great at what he does. Best dental team, hands down.
