Academic background
Qualified in 1994, trained in General medicine at the Norfolk and Norwich University
hospital leading to Membership of Royal College of Physician (MRCP) in 2000. Completed specialist training in Rheumatology at three University hospitals, North Staffordshire, Norfolk and Norwich and Cambridge, leading to Certificate of Completion in Specialist Training (CCST) in Rheumatology in 2005. Completed an MSc in Health Science at the University of East Anglia in 2009. Awarded Fellowship of Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) London in 2010. He is Chairman of Rheumatology Specialist Training Committee for East of England. He has been awarded five local Clinical Excellence Awards (CEA).
Dr Dahiya regularly gives talks at local GP hospitals and participates in training programmes at the Fitzwilliam Hospital.
Clinical interests
General rheumatology, early inflammatory arthritis such as rheumatoid, vasculitis, connective
tissue disease such as lupus, polymyalgia rheumatica, giant cell arteritis, osteoporosis, soft tissue injuries, sports and work-related injuries, diagnosis and management of pain syndromes such as fibromyalgia.
