About Mr Kunal Rathod

Mr. Kunal Rathod is widely recognized for combining personalized patient care with the latest evidence-based treatments. At private hospitals where he us attached, he brings over two decades of experience to his practice, emphasizing minimally invasive procedures such as advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries. These techniques allow him to address a range of conditions—from early pregnancy complications to complex cases of endometriosis—with precision, reduced discomfort, and quicker recovery times.

Mr. Rathod’s approach to managing fibroids and advanced endometriosis highlights his expertise in state-of-the-art, minimally invasive surgery. When it comes to fibroids, he employs advanced laparoscopic myomectomy techniques that remove fibroid tissue with precision and minimal disruption to the surrounding uterine tissue. This approach preserves fertility and leads to quicker recovery and less post-operative discomfort compared to traditional open surgery.

For patients with advanced endometriosis—particularly cases where endometrial implants extend to involve the bowel and bladder—Mr. Rathod’s surgical skillset is especially valuable. His keyhole surgical techniques enable him to excise or ablate endometriotic lesions from delicate areas, ensuring that vital structures are preserved. In such complex scenarios, his procedure often involves meticulous dissection of adhesions and careful removal of deep infiltrating endometriosis. In some cases, he may even work alongside colorectal or urological specialists to manage extensive involvement, ensuring that all affected tissues are addressed while reducing the risk of complications.

Both his fibroid and endometriosis procedures are designed to provide maximum benefits with the least discomfort, leveraging the latest evidence-based methods and his extensive experience across some of the UK’s most prestigious hospitals. This commitment not only highlights his surgical expertise but also underscores his dedication to ensuring that patients experience a safe, effective, and swift return to everyday life.

Mr. Rathod’s career spanning over two decades is marked by his work at some of the UK's most prestigious hospitals, including Guy's and St Thomas' and King's College Hospital. His roles at these flagship institutions have afforded him extensive exposure to a wide range of clinical cases and surgical challenges, honing his expertise in managing both early pregnancy and complex gynaecological conditions.

Coupled with this impressive clinical background, Mr. Rathod has pursued advanced endoscopy training at internationally recognized centres in both the UK and India. This international training has equipped him with cutting-edge skills in minimally invasive techniques—allowing him to perform complex laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures with precision and reduced patient discomfort. Such extensive training ensures that he remains at the forefront of evidence-based practices, continually incorporating the latest advancements into his clinical approach.

Mr. Rathod’s commitment to medical education truly extends beyond traditional teaching environments. He leverages modern digital platforms—most notably his well-known YouTube channel—to share his expertise and demystify complex surgical procedures for both patients and healthcare professionals. His channel features a variety of educational videos that cover key techniques and demonstrations of laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures. This curated content provides clear, step-by-step guidance on advanced surgical techniques, empowering patients with a better understanding of their treatments while serving as an invaluable resource for medical students, GPs, and specialists around the world .

Additionally, his active social media presence reinforces his role as a modern educator. By connecting with the community and sharing detailed insights through his channel and other professional profiles, he bridges the gap between clinical practice and public education. His videos not only highlight the precision required in minimally invasive surgeries but also emphasize evidence-based methods that have evolved over decades of experience. This dynamic approach helps demystify what might otherwise seem like impenetrable medical procedures and fosters greater trust and understanding among patients and colleagues alike

Laparoscopic Optimal Excision of Deep Rectovaginal Endometriosis: Tips and Techniques

Endometriosis is a chronic progressive disease spectrum characterized by the presence of tissue resembling functioning endometrial glands and stroma outside the uterine cavity. These ectopic implants have a propensity to bleed, initiating an inflammatory response. One of the most severe forms is deep rectovaginal endometriosis, which is the most challenging entity to treat. The diagnostic evaluation of these patients requires a transvaginal ultrasound and an MRI pelvis. Medical management may reduce the symptom severity but does not cure the disease. These patients often need surgical excision of the endometriosis to manage symptoms. We aim to describe the approach, principles, and detailed techniques of surgical removal of deep endometriosis. Complete excision of the deep rectovaginal endometriosis was achieved with symptomatic relief. This case illustrates our presurgical evaluation and operative techniques in detail, which are crucial in the optimal removal of endometriosis.

Advances in the Diagnosis and Management of Ovarian Ectopic Pregnancy: A Short Review

Advances in the Diagnosis and Management of Ovarian Ectopic Pregnancy: A Short Review

The ovarian ectopic pregnancy OPE is one of the most serious and rarest types of extra-uterine pregnancy, where the implantation of the gestational sac occurs in the ovum. Given the rarity of this condition, in addition to the accompanied morbidity, the risk of their complications, and even death, early diagnosis and treatment are crucial. Its diagnosis is not easy and relies on criteria based on preoperative findings, with poor clinical symptomatology and a difficult ultrasound diagnosis. Its management of choice remains surgical therapy despite the progress in medical treatments with fertility preservation. Patients’ symptomatology, radiological and lab findings, addition to her obstetric history and desire for future procreation must also be taken into consideration
