Mr Kyle James has been serving as a consultant children's orthopaedic surgeon for 10 years, embodying a comprehensive expertise that spans the entire spectrum of paediatric orthopaedic surgery, including bone and joint injuries. His professional focus centres on a diverse array of specialties within the realm of children's orthopaedic surgery.

With a specialisation encompassing conditions such as hip dysplasia (DDH), slipped upper femoral epiphysis (SUFE), deformity correction, and limb reconstruction using circular frames. Additionally, his expertise extends to encompass disorders like Perthes disease and neuromuscular conditions, including cerebral palsy. His adeptness further encompasses the diagnosis and treatment of children's foot and ankle conditions, ranging from clubfoot (CTEV) to cavovarus foot deformities (high arch feet). He also adeptly handles children's fractures and common concerns like bow legs, knock knees, and flat feet.

Mr James’s dedication to education is evident in his role as an educational supervisor for upcoming orthopaedic consultants, nurturing the growth of the next generation. He additionally undertakes the supervision of two master's students in trauma on an annual basis, contributing to the enrichment of orthopaedic knowledge and skills.

A fervent proponent of trauma care for both adults and children, Mr James has held the honorary position of senior lecturer on the Orthopaedic Trauma Sciences Masters Programme at Queen Mary University of London since 2014. This role underscores his commitment to advancing orthopaedic trauma science through academic pursuits.

Mr James's passion extends beyond borders as he actively champions Global Children's Orthopaedic Surgery. He devoted four years of service in Malawi, Africa, functioning as an orthopaedic surgeon and Medical Director at Beit Cure International Hospital. His dedication to enhancing orthopaedic provision in Africa remains unwavering, as he continues to contribute to training and the overall improvement of orthopaedic services on the continent.
