I went to see Dr Banim for a second opinion on a meniscus injury I’d been dealing with for about 18 months. From the first consultation, he was really positive and reassuring. He wanted a new MRI done rather than relying on old scans, which gave me confidence he was properly looking at my situation. Once he reviewed it, he was clear that it could be fixed, which was great to hear after such a long time dealing with it. Everything moved quickly from there. I had the MRI and then the operation to trim the torn cartilage. The whole process felt smooth and well organised. The staff at Nuffield Health Chester Hospital were also fantastic throughout. What really stood out was the result. Within a couple of days after the operation, I could already tell it had worked. Now six weeks on, I’ve had my final sign-off. After a bit of physio, I’m walking properly again and have started getting back into running and cycling. Really glad I went to see him. Upon seeking a second opinion for the removal of a vestibular schwannoma, he took the time to listen carefully to my concerns and explained the procedure in great detail, which gave me complete confidence that I was in the best possible hands. A few weeks later, following the surgery, I have not experienced any of the potential side effects, and since returning home, I feel pleasantly surprised by my progress so far. We were very pleased to have met him, because he is incredibly knowledgeable, and is also kind and patient. We had lots of questions, and he took his time to answer them all which meant that we left feeling much happier with the situation because we understood the next steps and what was going on. His manner is calm, friendly and professional. He also came across as incredibly honest. I had a really great experience with Harrison, the physio at Fit2Function. He carried out a thorough full assessment and helped me rebuild both strength and range of motion following a nerve injury. Harrison was extremely professional, friendly, and clearly very knowledgeable. He created a bespoke rehabilitation plan for me to follow outside the clinic, which he adjusted as my symptoms improved and my recovery progressed. Dr Sandy Flann was calm, professional and importantly; reassuring to us mum and dad of our 6 month old daughter with full body ezcema. My well being was number one priority. For my operation, I was a day case patient, in at 07:45 home by 18:00, my recovery from the anaesthetic was totaly without any side effects, and that impressed me.
