Professor James East shows a clear, professional, and reassuring manner. He listens to patient concerns. He provides excellent explanations for procedures like colonoscopies and endoscopies, with many patients reporting these as painless. His professional, friendly team ensures a good visit, and his practice concentrates on stomach discomfort and upper gastrointestinal issues.
Really nice guy who explains everything well in advance of the procedure.
Prof East gave me time to speak, listened attentively to my concerns, asked questions to help him gather the information he needed and then communicated a clear plan to us both for the next steps. We were given opportunity to ask further questions and left confident and reassured.
We discussed how to move forward, given that - after 4 colonoscopies- polyps were found each time. A joint decision was reached after his thoughtful guidance on the risk/benefit ratio of continued surveillance..
Mr East was very professional. He explaimed everything very well throughout the consultation and before the procedure. The procedure went well. Unfortunately the same cant be said for his secretary. His secretary needs constant chasing. Her phone manner was poor. I had to send multiple emails to get clarification of my initial consultation. I am still waiting for my scan and have no date for this. I have no date for a follow up consultation to go over my results. So yet again I am chasing.
Professor East and his team were absolutely fantastic. I was very apprehensive but he put me at ease and ensured the whole procedure was totally pain-free and over with before I knew it.
Really well looked after before procedure and really lovely nurses during procedure. Only downside was that recovery did feel quite rushed and the nurse in recovery during my visit on 15.06.26 at 3pm was good but I did feel i was rushed out a bit soon. I was feeling quite out of it and had vomited once while in recovery, the nurse was waiting for my blood pressure to improve and when it did she asked me to stand but I was still feeling quite wobbly. I was a bit concerned that I had already been sick once but was being discharged without any sick bowl or similar. I got as far as the main reception with my partner and unfortunately ended up vomiting again all over the reception floor in front of people which was really embarrassing although I was still fairly out of it so don’t remember much. I then needed to be wheeled back into recovery for a very short time before returning back. The overall service was brilliant I just felt a bit disappointed that the nurses didn’t think to give me at least something like a sick bowl to take away with me considering i had already been sick. Think this needs to be thought of next time and possibly more recovery time allowed, but that’s the only improvements needed. Thank you.
Whole visit was efficient, well-explained and calmly-delivered.
First rate. So quick and professional. I can’t thank you enough
Whole team were very professional and gave clear information and instructions. Very reassuring experience.
