Dr. Majeed Jawad

Dr Majeed Jawad is a highly experienced Consultant Paediatrician with over 30 years of experience in his field. He offers private appointments to patients in Surrey and Sussex at Spire Gatwick Park private hospital in Horley, Surrey.

Dr Jawad was the lead for Paediatric Cardiology and safeguarding children at SASH. He also runs respiratory and allergy clinics as part of his interest and training. Dr Jawad is a founder member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) and he is currently the Strategic Lead for Training and Examination for ME&NA at the RCPCH.

Dr Jawad received his training in Paediatrics at Cardiff University Hospital, Bristol Childrens hospital, Queen Mary's University Hospital London, Westminster Children's Hospital, Charing Cross, North Middlesex and the Royal Brompton Hospital. The last part of his training was mainly in Cardio-respiratory at the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust. He is also an honorary consultant at the Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Trust.

Dr Jawad is known for his expertise in cardiology, respiratory, and allergies. He is also an organiser and examiner for MRCPCH examinations in the UK and internationally. He has contributed to two major textbooks in Paediatrics and has chaired the South Thames Paediatric Respiratory Group for 10 years between 1993 and 2003.
