Waited for a while to be seen. Once seen, there was a feeling of being rushed and getting the consultation over with which was so dissapointing and not something I was expecting, after waiting for over a month for the session. I kept asking questions and follow up questions to keep the session going, but got basic and unsatisfactory answers. I have heard of other consultations lasting at least 40min from friends and family but I got barely half of that, after getting the impression the Doctor wanted me gone. The most shocking part of the consultation was the Googling of my symptons and condition and reading out advice found on the internet. How is that acceptable from a paid service? I can research and Google my symptons myself which I have already done and a Doctor searching for answers so obviously, was shocking to see, especially from someone who is meant to be a professional in their field. So dissapointing and such a waste of money. I feel cheated and the medicine given to me on prescription was the second choice after me protesting that prescribing medicine shown in Google results and stuff I have tried already is not going to work. I was hoping for professional advice and recommendations, sadly I never got that. Just verbal internet results. Even the medicine proscribed can be bought over the counter without a prescription. A waste of a trip, so dissapointing.

Visited Dr Patel regarding an upper eyelid issue. Dr Patel took his time to ask my clinical history followed by a lengthy and careful eye examination. He also took his time to explain every step of the examination process. Once done, he spent quite sometime explaining what was causing the issue, he then showed an animated video which was extremely helpful and easy to follow. Finally, he gave me some literature so I could read at my leisure. All in all this was one of the most friendly and clear consultations I have had. Dr Patel is an excellent consultant that spent a lot of time explaining what was causing my symptoms and how to resolve them and is a testament to how passionate he is about his job. I would recommend Dr Patel whole heartedly. I hope I won't need to see an eye doctor again but if I do then it will certainly be Dr Patel.

He conveyed a genuine interest in understanding the nature of my condition and I was impressed that he had carefully researched my medical history prior to the appointment and during its course undertook his own thorough clinical examination. He was equally careful in establishing my subjective experience of my illness and how this has impacted on my overall functioning and wellbeing. The potential investigation/treatment plan he outlined was well thought through and at the same time flexible enough to allow for any changes which might be necessary. I found him empathic and reassuring as a consultant and as a human being.

I was referred by my optician to see Mr Jonathan Yu, from my first consultation to being discharged from his care for my cataract surgery on both eyes, I have been delighted. He explained the process very clearly, took his time to phone me back if I had any questions, explained about the premium lenses to my complete satisfaction. The surgery went very smoothly and I recovered very quickly, I had sedation which was explained very clearly, the anaesthetists who worked with Jonathan were very reassuring. I found Jonathan Yu very friendly and very professional and the Regency Clinic and staff also very professional. I would not hesitate in recommending Jonathan Yu and the Regency Eye Clinic.

During my procedure he and his team took the greatest care of me, I never felt at all anxious. The booking process with Sacha was really excellent. She was very friendly and helpful and reassuring. The clinic was very clean and welcoming. The appointment with Simone was perfect. I was a little nervous as I had been experiencing a new noise that I was hearing in one ear, and she took the time to explain everything thoroughly, and ensure my understanding by showing me pictures/diagrams to help the explainations. The appointment gave me great knowledge and data for me to understand my hearing health.

I was referred to Mr Rao by the NHS due to extended waiting times at Lewisham Hospital. The NHS surgeon had recommended a procedure to remove bone fragments from behind my left knee. Mr Rao arranged for an X-ray, which was done immediately. On review Mr Rao strongly advised against surgical intervention. I understand the reasons and I am happy to try a knee brace (I have ordered one).

Always friendly staff, and my hygienist is very good, as is my Dentist. I'd say more needs investing in the internal look and feel of the place (it is an old building), and the IT tech although functioning could do with an upgrade for a more paid dental care feel.
