Approximately 6 months ago, my sister was diagnosed with oral cancer which had spread to her cervical lymph nodes. Since this time, we have seen Mr Alibhai a number of times both prior and after the extensive surgery he performed on her. His knowledge and expertise is second to none - this came across in his explanation of the diagnosis and meticulous detail and success of the surgery. I have been to see Mr Lee on 3 occasions for surgery now. I could not have been happier with the process. Mr Lee is a very welcoming calm man. Needles to say I was very nervous walking into this situation after having a not great experience with the NHS for my first of 4 surgeries. I was worried about the time frame and how long I was going to be in pain for. Mr Lee assured me that all of my surgeries would be completed by Christmas. He completed all of my surgeries within a 2 months period and before Christmas. I could not be happier with the process and now have found a new lease of life pain free. The experience overall was good once seen by clinical staff. Had to wait 15 minutes after planned appointment time, 30 minutes in total after being told to be there 15 minutes before appointment. I understand than clinically time may run over, but there was no communication which would have been useful. I wonder if specific reception staff for the vein clinic would be helpful. Waiting area would also benefit from coffee machine for relatives waiting.

Prof Quraishi is a fantastic doctor and technically gifted surgeon . I had a sacro-iliac joint injury many years ago which was fixed in Bristol . Suffered with pain for over 10 years and saw a vast number of specialists . It was only when I saw Prof Quraishi that I knew he could fix me . He did - placed bolts across my SIJ bypassing the previous metalwork. I have had an excellent outcome and he has changed my life !

I underwent a HoLEP operation carried out by Mr Brewin and his team. Both the operation and my recovery have been excellent. Due to potential complications, in the event there were none, the operation was carried out in Salisbury NHS Hospital. Again the staff were friendly and helpful but circumstances at the time in the recovery ward resulted in the washroom facilities being less than acceptably clean.
