I’ve battled with my weight for as long as I can remember. In July 2022, I hit my breaking point after seeing a photo of myself at my heaviest. I was ashamed, overwhelmed, and completely defeated. I know not everyone understands or agrees with this choice, but for me it was never about appearance. It was about choosing a healthier, happier, longer life. It was about being here for my family and the people I love. It was about choosing myself. From my very first appointment, the care, compassion, and reassurance I received from you, the consultant, and the entire team made such a difference. Every question was answered, every worry was taken seriously, and I always felt supported rather than judged. The kindness, professionalism, and encouragement shown to me before and after surgery helped me feel confident in my decision and safe throughout the process. The fear of not being present for my family someday scared me far more than surgery ever could. Thank you for the exceptional care, guidance, and support you have all shown me. You haven’t just helped me through a procedure—you’ve helped give me a real chance at a new beginning, and for that I will always be grateful.

Mr Kumaran Thiruppathy

I saw Mr Kumaran Thiruppathy at Circle Reading Hospital in October 2025 for troublesome internal haemorrhoids. He quickly made an accurate diagnosis and clearly explained my condition and the treatment options, including rubber band ligation. I went ahead with banding of my internal haemorrhoids, which was done efficiently and with great care, and he talked me through each step so I knew exactly what was happening. Since then my symptoms have improved a lot, with much less discomfort and bleeding in everyday life. At my follow‑up appointment in January 2026, we mainly reviewed how things had improved after the procedure and discussed ongoing management and prevention. Mr Thiruppathy listened carefully, answered all my questions, and gave clear, practical advice. Overall, I’ve had an excellent experience under his care and feel much more comfortable and reassured now. I would highly recommend Mr Thiruppathy and the team at Circle Reading Hospital to anyone needing assessment and treatment for haemorrhoids.

The level of expertise is exceptional, but what impressed me most was the kindness and care shown throughout the entire visit. HCA should be proud of the quality of patient staff. I was well looked after well by everyone. I sincerely hope reviews like this are picked up and the staff in question are praised DIRECTLY by MANAGEMENT (as I know that Mr Haq gives them feedback). All too often I see pictures of management and statements of values etc but the front facing staff don’t get the praise and recognition they deserve. I have full confidence in Mr Haq who gave me full confidence in the care and health actions throughout the process. I also single out Dr Robert Gardiner (spelling?) who showed quick thinking, attentiveness and high emotional intelligence when I was in the drop in clinic leading to hospital admission.

Positive perks - the waiting room had adjustable height chairs meaning I didn't have to struggle getting in and out of chairs! Dr Chinoy didn't judge me, or make me feel rushed or that I was an inconvenience (something I have grown accustomed to from the nhs). Despite my symptoms not fitting in with his specialities he recommended a colleague who he feels confident would be able to meet my needs. Although private care is hard on my wallet as a self funder, the advice, treatment and service I received overall made it more than worthwhile.

The clinical team at Allergy London are very experienced, confident and kind. They have the ability to put families at ease and my daughter loved seeing them at her visits. I am so grateful to them for their expertise and thorough approach.. We had previously seen a different provider who unfortunately over-complicated the process of oral immunotherapy (OIT); Professor Fox's treatment was pragmatic, achievable and best of all incredibly effective in improving our child's allergies and quality of life.

Excellent all round experience. At my first consultation,Adam confirmed diagnosis, laid out my options, and then his team made all the necessary arrangements for laparoscopic cholecystectomy at The New Victoria. The surgery was more straightforward than I had expected, and the recovery quicker. From first consultation to final follow up I found Professor Frampton to be professional, clearly very skilled, but also friendly and approachable. Highly recommended .

Spire Harpenden Hospital

The only area for improvement is the check-in process - quite often there is a queue of people waiting at reception and the vehicle registration screen is separate to the check-in form, which isn't very efficient. The waiting area and exam rooms are clean and tidy, the staff is friendly and helpful. I prefer coming here despite it being a longer drive than my nearest private hospital because of the great experience I've had previously.

No worries at all. Am a little confused with the form filling in via the web site, and I am inundated with reminders to fill them in both on the Internet and on my phone. It often makes me wonder if you have received them? Everything absolutely fine otherwise... My deafness causes me a problem, but once I have reminded the staff I am deaf, then they always make sure I understand what they are saying.

The 12-month or so wait time was out of Ravi’s hands and in fact the timing of the procedure worked well for me in the end due to it being right before the Christmas holidays. Everyone at Spire Wellesley was fab, even if my discharge at the end of the day took longer than expected it wasn’t a problem and I was really pleased with all the care and professionalism provided by everyone. Janette, my nurse couldn't have been friendlier or more reassuring, the food I had was very good and fresh, and then to have a little sprinkling of reflexology on the 'menu' was icing on the cake! All in all a great experience.

Very good explanation before the date and also on the day before the actual appointment. They gave me complete confidence, and the nurses were very good at chatting with me to distract me from the painful parts of the varicose vein precedure. A lot of information at the time, but also online afterwards so that i had no further questions.
