FibroScan is a quick, painless and non-invasive test that helps assess liver health by measuring liver stiffness and liver fat. It can detect early liver scarring, guide follow-up, and provide reassurance, especially in people with fatty liver, abnormal liver blood tests, regular alcohol intake, diabetes, obesity or chronic viral hepatitis.

Alcohol related liver disease is not just about the number of units consumed. Drinking patterns, duration of alcohol use, and other health factors such as obesity, diabetes or fatty liver, all influence liver risk. The good news is that in the early stages, reducing or stopping alcohol can help the liver recover. Early assessment can make a real difference.
