Mr Dimpu Bhagawati is a highly skilled orthopaedic spinal surgeon who received his education at some of the most prestigious institutions in the world, including the University of Oxford, University College London, Oxford University Hospital, Imperial Healthcare, and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. He has completed two spinal fellowships during which he dealt with some of the most complex problems in spine surgery. Dr Bhagawati is the current Clinical Lead for Spinal Services at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which serves a population of over 700,000. Prior to his current position, Mr Bhagawati worked as a consultant spinal surgeon at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London, where he treated complex spinal problems in both adults and children. The procedure has changed my day to day, pain before the procedure was a score of 10/10, after the procedure my pain score is 0/10. The procedure was quick, and after the local anesthetic at the site the procedure was relatively painless, a little discomfort when the injection of fluid took place.

My experience with Mr Dimpu Bhagawati was excellent thought out

I saw Dr Bhagawati having been suffering from long term sciatica. In my initial consultation Dr Bhagawati talked me through all of the various options and we landed on a nerve blocker injection. The procedure was very simple and i was in and out of hospital within a morning. The procedure has significantly reduced the pain.

Prior to the operation , I was unable to stand straight and nerve pain was immense. After the operation, I can stand straight and nerve pain gone ! Dr Dimpu Bhagawati changed my life , so pleased that I had the operation despite my anxiety beforehand....

My back had been very sore prior to visiting Dr Bhagwati, and I hadn't realised how incredibly limiting my movement and walking. My visit was reassuring and the procedure easy, the difference has ben incredible I had not realised before how this had impacted my life.

I found Mr. Bhagawati very easy to talk to, he has an excellent bedside manner. I felt very safe in his hands.

I was extremely anxious about having spinal decompression surgery due to my sciatica and indeed delayed having the operation for two years as I was so anxious. I needn't have been. Mr Bhagawati explained the procedure thoroughly and I was up and walking about almost immediately after surgery. My recovery again has been nothing short of astonishing with my pain disappearing almost immediately. I would recommend to anyone who is concerned about having it done not to be. My biggest regret is that I waited so long to have the procedure done and was in so much pain for so long unnecessarily.
