A friendly and reassuring manner with appropriate clinical guidance, so nothing arises that, in my view, requires review.

I saw Dr Devany as I was in pain with my toe, I felt embarrassed to be seeing a consultant about something that I considered would be seen as trivial thing and I was nervous of getting someone who would think I was wasting their time. I could not have been more wrong. Mr Devany immediately put me at ease and could see how much pain I was in hobbling about. He agreed I needed surgery and was concerned about how quickly he could help me. I was absolutely delighted that he spoke to his secretary, and the hospital, and he squeezed me onto his list 48hrs later. Having had local anaesthetic in my foot before I knew that was going to be awful but I was amazed as it wasn’t anywhere near as painful as before, he is very gentle. The procedure went well and I healed up quicker than anticipated. I went from agony to pain free very quickly. I saw Dr Devany for a follow up and he was just as lovely as before. I would not hesitate to contact him or his lovely secretary again, in fact I know I will as I need the other foot doing. I would highly recommend Dr Devany to anyone, he is patient, calm, reassuring and seems to know what he is doing with his scalpel.

Outstanding. Easy-going enough to put you at ease, whilst at the same time asking the right questions and coming to excellent conclusions. He explains with clarity and good judgement. He was kind, listened to my questions and took a great deal of time ensuring I understood how to manage my recovery

I had very large, painful and unsightly lumps on my ankles for many years and Adam was the only doctor who actually listened to my concerns. He removed large lipomas from each ankle and he has given me back my confidence and made me very happy. I have now bought shorts and dresses for my upcoming holiday, something I had never done as I was too embarrassed for people to see the large ugly lumps on my ankles. It’s been 5 weeks since my operation and the scars have reduced in size and barely visible. Adam has changed my life for the better and I feel like a different person and I am forever grateful for him listening to me and performing the operation. Thank you Adam.

Mr Devany was brilliant throughout. He explained my options what may or may not be the results, listened carefully to my questions and even remembered small details about me from previous discussions. He and his team were great in theatre, friendly and professional. The problem with my foot which I had just been living with for a number of years has now been resolved and I just wish I had got it done sooner. Private treatment is of course quite expensive but in my view it was well worth it.
