Receptionist was absolutely lovely and really friendly and helpful. The building and facilities were all excellent and kept clean and tidy. The consultant I saw was extremely rude, arrogant and judgemental. There were several comments he made that shocked me and that made me feel very uncomfortable to the point I almost walked out mid appointment. There was very little sympathy or mindfulness of my injury and he came across extremely judgemental in the assumptions he made about the level of sport I played, what I could afford, and several other things. I actually play semi-professionally and have represented our country in World Championships in the sport I play, and I also have a law degree and accountancy qualification which I did not mention as quite frankly it is irrelevant. It was apparent he took a dislike to me for whatever reason from the start and the whole experience was very uncomfortable. His behaviour aside, he is clearly very knowledgeable and good at what he does. Reading between the lines I got the answer I needed. This hospital was recommended to me by one of your previous patients and I was lucky to get booked in through an NHS referral but after my experience I would never return for any issue and am relieved I didn't pay to go private.

I am a very active 51 year old man and Mr Atkinson fixed my medial meniscus tear which had been obstructing movement in my leg. After 8 weeks I am back swimming, practicing Yoga 5 times a week (all poses including deep squats and child pose) and I also started kick boxing again. I will be training jiu jitsu again in a week's time. I also climbed the stairs at Highgate tube station this week - all 100 of them - without any pain or locking. I had a very good experience with Mr Atkinson. From initial to final consultation I was very happy with the care given to me. In fact my girlfriend who is also a doctor was very impressed by Mr Atkinson's knowledge on a variety of questions she asked. He was very accommodating of her as well allowing her to talk to him on the phone and with me in my final consultation. I want to thank Mr Atkinson for putting me forward for this care, without this I would be struggling with my physical activities and now I have a new lease of life. Thank you so much.

It's 6-weeks since my partial knee replacement and I am mostly pain free (only feeling pain if I've been standing or walking too much but that's to be expected and is improving every day). My brother recommended Julian having had full knee replacements on both knees. He now happily cycles 50-70 miles most weekends without any problem. I decided it was worth making the effort to travel from South London to get the best knee surgeon I could find. I could not be happier with the results. Julian's advice before, during and post surgery has been honest, clear and professional. He set out all my options and provided his opinion when asked. All the staff at the Saxon Clinic were amazing too, from the nurses to the anaesthetist etc. Brilliant surgeon and a great clinic!

I had an excellent experience at Nuffield Hospital Guildford. The hospital was very easy to find, and the reception team were welcoming and efficient. Check-in was quick, and within a few minutes I was seen by the doctor, which was impressive. The facilities were modern and spotless, with a comfortable waiting area and both hot and cold drinks available. The building itself feels contemporary and well maintained, creating a calm and professional environment. The staff were courteous, organised, and clearly experienced, which gave me confidence throughout my visit. Overall, a very smooth and professional experience from start to finish. They listed a promotional 10% discount on their website using a coupon code if your total purchase is more than £30. However, at check out when you try and apply the code, you get a strange error message asking you to have at least £30 worth of items in your basket even though the basket total far exceeds the £30 threshold. When I e-mailed them to alert them to this error, the "customer service" agent provided a cold dismissive response, without so much as an apology. Rude staff. Suffice it to say, I did not receive the discount.

The Embryo transfer was a beautiful moment and they ensured it was marked with a photo of the embryo being transferred and a hand written card. Unfortunately, our first transfer was unsuccessful but I know we are in safe hands for our next steps. The admin team in particular have been amazing - responsive, sensitive and friendly.
