I recently had my gallbladder removed by Miss Pissanou after seeking her for a second opinion. From the very beginning, she was thorough, honest, and incredibly reassuring. She advised that while gallbladder removal was necessary, I should first prioritise a cyst on my kidney. She immediately referred me to an excellent surgeon who successfully removed the cyst, which unfortunately turned out to be cancerous. I am extremely grateful for her judgement and prompt action, which made all the difference. When it came to my gallbladder operation, Miss Pissanou was exceptionally informative, taking great care to explain all the risks and ensuring that both my wife and I fully understood the procedure. The surgery itself was very successful, and my recovery was remarkably quick. I cannot recommend Miss Pissanou highly enough for her professionalism, expertise, and outstanding patient care.

I am so fortunate that I was referred to Mr Barazi. From the first meeting he asked detailed questions about my condition and listened to me. His calm, confident and personable manner instilled trust immediately. He took the time to explain the procedure, showing me examples and talking me through my MRI and CT scans, as well as preparing me for how I might feel post-surgery. My many questions were answered with infinite patience and continue to be as I recover. My life is returning to normal again, something I found hard to imagine a few weeks ago. Mr Barazi is an amazing surgeon, and a kind and caring human being. I cannot thank or recommend him highly enough.

The recent visit was excellent. Mr Mansouri thoroughly examined me and explained everything very clearly. I would also like to say that Mr Mansouri is one of the best orthopaedic surgeons I have come across. I cannot speak highly enough of him. From the very first appointment regarding my knee arthritis, to the monitoring of my condition, to the surgery itself and post op care, my journey was fantastic because of him. He has excellent bedside manner and genuinely cares for his patients. He always listened to my concerns and made himself very accessible (even at short notice) if I needed to see him for a review or to ask any questions. I am still recovering from surgery but I believe his care has and will truly change my life and give me my quality of life back.

I was impressed by the building and my two radiology appointments were combined and seen to earlier than I expected. I waited in the café area, which was roomy and comfortable, until it was time to go to see the consultant. I waited until the appointed time and was seen to on time and very ably. There would have been a long wait for a blood test and CT scan, and I was assured the receptionist would contact me at home about having both the following day at Portland Place. I called the main number in the late afternoon, as I had heard nothing, and the man I spoke to, booked me into Portland Place for the following day. It was a very pleasant experience, and unlike any hospital visit I can remember, as the surroundings were spacious and unintimidating.

Excellent explanation of the results from a recent CT scan, probing for possible kidney stones. A stone was found to be apparent, as well as other medical findings that Mr Agrawal took time to advise me on. He also gave invaluable ongoing dietary advice and recommended an ultrasound in a year’s time, which should be arranged via my GP. Mr Agrawal had already written to my GP outlining my initial consultation, and I have no doubt he will also be as efficient in relating the results to my GP as soon as possible. I was very reassured by Mr Agrawal that I was suffering from no major health issues, and as long as I adhered to his advice concerning sensible diet control, my proneness to kidney stones would hopefully decrease in time.

I was a patient at the EDU. I am so so thankful for the care I received. Most of the nursing staff and HCAs were nothing short of phenomenal. At times the staff were however rude and a culture of bullying from staff was present. However this was a minority of the time. When reported and when feedback was given, it was often ignored. Staff was often sourced from the agency who had little understanding of eating disorders or how to treat patients. The food options and quality was dreadful. Overall, the nurses were so so caring and kind and the dietician and consultant were amazing!

Lucy Clarke was recommended to me after a failed diagnosis and plastic surgery to my accident related damaged left eye lid. Lucy diagnosed the damage was to a muscle in the eyelid and her and her team carried out the surgery to correct this. Lucy and her team were so understanding and caring throughout the whole procedure and I was returning home within 2 hours of my appointment. My experiences at the Lister hospital were generally positive. The facilities are clean and modern. The wait time was variable but generally ok. There wasn't much continuity in the nursing and sonography staff I saw which is a shame, and the quality was variable, but in general most of my experiences were with skilled and knowledgeable staff. On a few occasions I wasn't entirely confident in the nurse or sonographer treating me.
