The security and reception staff were absolutely wonderful - welcoming, professional, and efficient. When I went up to the 3rd-floor neurology department, there weren’t very clear directions on where to check in, but I eventually found the desk (ironically, not the easiest task for someone visiting a neurologist!). After checking in, I was seen quite promptly. The neurologist herself came out to collect me - something I didn’t realise until we were already in her office, as she hadn’t introduced herself. I think my presence uneased her and I even commented that I thought she was the porter, as that’s what I had seen with other patients being escorted in. Unfortunately, the appointment itself was disappointing. The neurologist came across as very judgmental and accusatory, suggesting that my symptoms were exaggerated or imagined, despite my clear explanations and the observations of my colleagues, doctors, specialists, and family who have witnessed my neurological decline. When she asked about my profession, she seemed skeptical that I could perform my job without issues, which was uncomfortable and disheartening. I have a follow-up appointment with a neuropsychiatrist, but honestly, I’m not looking forward to it. I can only hope they’ll be more open-minded and empathetic.

I had a Rhinoplasty here with Lucian Ion. I'm grateful to all of the staff at the hospital for making my stay so comfortable; the room was clean and comfortable, and whenever I needed help the nurses were quick and helpful, plus the food was really good. The surgery and anaesthetic itself went smoothly, and it was re-assuring to talk to both surgeon (Mr Ion) and anaesthetist (Dr Warwick Marchant) beforehand, and then see Mr Ion multiple times after the surgery. When I was soon to be discharged from the hospital I momentarily (for a few minutes) felt very rough; the hospital staff were really friendly and there wasn't any rush to discharge. One thing I did note is that there wasn't always complete consistency between the surgeon and the hospital, e.g. on the admission time, or on how to clean the wounds, so I would suggest trying to improve this (the patient, at least speaking for myself, isn't always a reliable intermediary), however this was a very minor issue.

I had a number of appointments to see Mr Warr at the Nuffield, and it was always administered well and on time. On the day of the surgery there was initially some confusion on which hospital room I was assigned to but that was cleared up fairly quickly - it was 7am so perhaps a beginning of shift handover issue. The nurses were caring, professional, attentive and very friendly before and after the operation. The anaesthetist visited and was very clear explaining the process, friendly and reassuring. A very good experience. I also appreciated that my parents could be with me before the operation as I'm quite young and not used to being in hospital. Overall a very good experience. Thank you.

Great service. Quick and efficient. The website doesn’t work that well on mobile but I was able to use the WhatsApp method and that was fine. Weirdly that prompted a call whereas by initiating communication via WhatsApp it was odd to get a call. I was struggling to hear clearly which is why I sent the WhatsApp. I’d imagine that I’m not unique in this 🤪. Not a complaint. Just worth noting. One other idea: has anyone asked to be able to watch what is being done on a screen? I personally would have enjoyed being able to do this. Don’t judge me!!! But if you made that available and publicised it, I reckon it could be a differentiator. Thanks for an efficient and thorough service x

Dr Nicholas was my anaesthetist for my C section of my first baby in July 2025. I couldn’t recommend him enough! He made the entire experience so special. He treated me with care and compassion and I felt completely safe in his hands. Not only is he a great anaesthetist, but he was so lovely to have recorded the delivery of my baby - a memory that I will cherish forever. His aftercare was also excellent - he checked on me several times afterwards to ensure that I was receiving adequate pain relief. I am so grateful that Dr Nicholas was my anaesthetist for the delivery of my baby and making it a painless and beautiful experience

Roland corrected my badly deviated septum and reduced turbinate size. Wow, this was absolutely life changing, who knew just what breathing normally feels like! The operation went very well, the recovery while not pleasant was straightforward. Would I do it again? Absolutely yes, in a heart beat! The whole experience was stress free and went really well. I felt cared for by all the staff. My only comment would be that I wasn't explained the after surgery process before going into theatre and after surgery I was sat in my room wondering what next steps were. ie would I see consultant again, how long before I could leave. It wasn't a big deal but a little more information would have been nice.
