Mr Kenan Dehne acts professional with patients. Patients note great results from hip and knee surgery. His skill with ACL and meniscus work aids fast healing. Many feel less pain, have neat scars, and move more easily.
Experience was good and for anybody not to be afraid to have a hip replacement at the West Midlands Hospital.
I am a semi professional athlete who suffered ACL tears in both knees with meniscus damage in one in September of 2025. Dr Dehne saw me a few weeks later and filled me with confidence that I would be able to return to sports one day. We made a plan to fix both my knees with my first surgery in December 2025 and the second in May of 2026. In August of 2026 I have had no complications and each knee has progressed by the book, I am now able to run and hope to return to acrobatics in a few more months. I am very greatful for his expertise and skill.
My experience was brilliant and an excellent surgeon, pain relief was paracetamol. Movement I have is 100% thank you mr Dehne.
Mr. Dehne immediately put me at my ease and explained the procedure (complete left knee replacement). The surgery went extremely well, the scar was incredibly neat and I experienced no pain once I left hospital. I was able to complete my post-operative exercises with ease and now can walk miles without discomfort. I am now walking so well that I can apply for a successor Assistance Hearing Dog for Deaf People to my current dog as I can walk far greater distances, as necessary, with a younger dog. I was very impressed with Mr. Dehne's professionalism and expertise.
Recent hip replacement - all went very smoothly, all staff appropriately friendly but professional.
I write this in the hope that anyone who is considering a KR (knee replacement) does so without fear. My journey started in Jan 2025, when I felt a twinge in my knee. This got progressively worse, till I went to my G.p, who on examination said I had ostioarthritis my symptoms then got progressively worse that even massage therapy, an injection into the knee and pain killers could not resolve, (it affected my ability to work, and function day to day, and my family) finally I was referred to Mr Dehne, who allayed my fears, with clear, concise information as to both risks, and benefits. ( i had an extended pattella which made access to my knee cap extremely difficult and potentially risky too) but even Taking this into account and my condition which was deteriorating rapidly ( I could only walk with the aid of a stick, ( i was only 62 at the time and was not prepared to live my life like i was)i agreed to the operation. I went in on February 27th 2026 and was released the next day, within a week I could walk unaided, and within 6 I was back to work, since then I have gone on from strength to strength, I followed the physio exercises I was given, and have my quality of life back, which at one point I didn't think possible. But If it wasn't for my Consultant Mr Dehne willing to take me on as his patient, my life would be a lot different now. For Which i and my family, can't thank him enough.
From my first consultation, I felt listened to, reassured, and fully informed about every stage of the process. Mr Kenan Dehne, the surgeon, was professional, compassionate, and inspired complete confidence, making what could have been an overwhelming experience much easier. Although I am still awaiting replacement of my other knee, the results of this surgery have already made a significant difference. My pain has reduced considerably, my mobility has improved, and I am looking forward to continuing my recovery and having my second knee replaced soon. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Dehne to anyone considering knee replacement surgery. I am very grateful for the quality of care I have received from Mr Dehne and everyone I came into contact with at Practice Plus, Emersons Green.
After my consultation with Mr Dehne and my pre med results Mr Dehne was happy to recommend my Knee Replacement surgery.Prior to proceeding he extensively detailed the full procedure that would take place together with the after care and general time span for recovery. On the 23rd of April which was a date we both agreed due to personal commitments the operation took place.within 24 hours I was home carrying out my exercises with the provision of all appliances supplied for my use. Mr Dehne prior to my discharge spent time to ensure my operation was fully satisfactory and again aware of best recovery procedures. I can only thank Mr Dehne and all the staff associated with my operation for their care and attention to ensure my wellbeing at all times.
I found my follow up visit helpful and informative. I discussed my progress and my desire to continue to progress without intervention at this point . I was reassured that if I needed further support that I could contact the hospital to request an appointment.
Mr Dehne performed total knee replacement on left knee 4.5 months ago. From first visit to post-op consultation I felt very supported, listened to and as though I was in great hands. At every appointment, including the operation itself, Mr Dehne has been very considerate and gave me time to ask any questions. The operation itself was a 10/10 success and i have healed incredibly well. I am already gaining back my mobility, fitness and confidence. I'm so pleased I'm going back to Mr Dehne for knee no.2!!
