There was a lot of waiting for drops to take effect as part of the treatment but the fact that everytime one of the staff passed they acknowledged you so you didn't feel you had been forgotten, a big plus in my book. There were many times when my DOB and name were checked. This made me feel secure as I think it made me feel that any mix up was very unlikely, another plus in my book. During the set up for the operation I was asked to look into the very bright light. Not a problem for the eye being operated on but keeping my other eye open as requested was difficult for me. Perhaps some form of shading for the other eye could be provided so that the natural instinct to close that eye could be eliminated and thus the natural effect of doing that affecting the eye being operated on. During the operation the surgeon needed to speak to me at times. I am hard of hearing and didn't have my hearing aids in. At times it was hard to hear the surgeon. The issue was worse when the "pump" noise was going. Some of this was the fact that she was a lady with a higher pitch voice, whereas I could easily hear the male voice in the room. I have the same issue hearing my wife for the same reason (I claim!). Perhaps it would be good if the surgeon established if there is a hearing problem and if there is, the voice volume could be raised. I realise that this is my problem but I cannot be unique in this case given the age profile of you patients. This visit was my second eye so I knew what was happening. However, thinking back to my first visit perhaps a slightly better introduction could be given to new patients as to what to expect with the intervals between patient staff interactions to help limit any anxiety they may feel. Also a bit more information regarding the after effects of the operation could help and anxiety at that time. I realise you will wince at this but I found a YouTube video of american origin that went through the after effects step by step and this relieved me as I realised what was happening to me was normal. Overall I was very pleased with the atitude of all the staff I met and the service they provided. Thank you very much.

Perhaps most importantly to me, I am now able to walk completely naturally without a limp of any sort. I cannot thank Mr Malik enough for his skill and care. For anyone suffering from similar knee issues, I would highly recommend him and the robotic surgery route. It has truly given me my mobility back

Mr mughal was great and had a great team, they took care of me really well for my 2 operations, few points was communication i was allergic to the surgery dye but this information was not told to any staff members i had to remind numerous times and even before I went into theatre, also as I have mental health issues some staff was rude and not understanding just judging, just a little care and attention as you dont know what someone is going through, also at Cannock hospital some stuff made feel uncomfortable and not really giving me the care so the after care after the operation was very poor, alos at new cross some staff are rude and make it uncomfortable, but I spoke with mr mughal who is going to see me in 12 months to see how my leg has healed and also about doing my left leg as I have pain in it, but mr mughal has done a great job and hes been very supportive, made me feel comfortable and reassured.

Following my recent consultation with Dr Rena Ohri, I felt confident and reassured. Dr Ohri listened and was incredibly attentive when I told her the symptoms I was presenting with and was very professional when understanding my medical background. My consultation was not rushed and I felt Dr Ohri was very personable and developed a professional and meaningful rapport with me as her patient. I believe she was very thorough with her examination and took a lot of care in explaining what the next steps were for me and allowed me to voice my own opinions throughout the consultation. I would strongly recommend Dr Rena Ohri and in the future and if I am requiring any further medical support will be returning back to her clinic.

Mr Iain McLaughlin-Symon

Mr Iain McLaughlin-Symon performed surgery on my left hand to correct dupuytrens contracture on my little finger. The surgery went well and I left hospital with my hand well bandaged and protected. After 1 week a very proffessional nurse removed the big bandage and replaced with a smaller bandage and I was provided with a splint to wear at night to keep the finger straight. Another week later another very proffessional nurse removed the bandage and removed all of the tiny stitches in the wound. The attention to detail by all of the staff who helped me was very impressive and has contributed to the excellent outcome of my surgery.

I had a breast reduction and uplift with Parkash Lohana in December 2025 and I am delighted with the results. All the staff here are so kind and friendly. Special shout out to Roslyn for how well she looked after me (and my very anxious mum!) on the day, Bernadette, Lisa, but everyone has been amazing. I'm still healing and had to come in for a same day appointment to have something checked and Belinda totally put me at ease and gave me really clear information. Dr Georgiou was extremely kind and generous with his time, despite this being a second-opinion consultation. My uncle was diagnosed with advanced, stage IV malignancy, and Dr Georgiou approached the case with seriousness and care, without being dismissive or overlooking treatment options. He supported the appropriate treatment plan, and after four cycles my uncle is doing remarkably well. Apprehensive about a possible root canal - antibiotics first but they indicated I did need a root canal. Excellent treatment - didn’t feel the anaesthetic or any pain regardless of all that was ‘going on’ in my mouth. Dentist and dental nurse were very kind throughout the hours treatment re relaxing jaw. Returning for stage two but not apprehensive about it. Highly recommend.

Staff at the practice seem to be unable to distinguish between NHS patients a d those who Are private and paying. Twice i was sent to the wrong waiting area with NHS patients. Only to be later sent to the private waiting area. As a paying patient i expect a certain level of compitance and care. So come on Barlborough, a little bit of interest in your role might help

Visit was easy to book via Circlehealthgroup although reception seems to be over capacity compared to previous visits particularly with all patients having to queue and book in at main reception as opposed to the previous process of checking in at the Outpatients Area reception. Queue resulted in slightly late arrival to patient waiting area.
