The hospital was very clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. The procedure staff were particularly nice and professional. I was very happy with the procedure and the level of professionalism and also good bedside manner. One/two areas which could be improved if you are interested : 1. Pre-procedure information suggested an overall time from entry to release of approx 2hrs. With a 6pm admission time, I assumed I could arrange a collection for 8.30pm with some time to spare. However, on arrival, after approx 1hr 15mins it became apparent that the admission time of 6pm was a general time for 3 patients to be admitted and seen that evening between 6-9pm. I happened to be patient no.2, so was seen around 7.30 and released around 9, meaning I could not use the lift arranged (my wife &kids were ok til then, but not after). This then presented me with a choice of either taxi home or to ask someone at short notice to come and collect me. Had I known the range of procedure/release times in advance, I would have arranged a different, more appropriate, lift from the start. This leads to point no.2 2. I was not made aware of the choice on whether to have sedative or not. The literature states "you will be given a sedative" not that you have a choice. After the delay above, this then created a difficulty whereby if I took the sedative, I could not legally be released to an unknown taxi driver and would have to arrange another lift at short notice or not take the sedative. I opted to not take the sedative. Had I known this option was there, I could have driven myself to and from the appointment. It also would have saved my wife and kids spending time in the car on a busy evening. In connection with this, during the appointment, it sounded like release/recovery after the sedative was likely to be several hours, so release before 10-11pm was unlikely from the start and it was always probably going to be later if I took the sedative. Please don't take the above as criticism, just highlighting that making the choice on sedative clear would have allowed me to more easily plan both my transport. Also providing a bit more detail on the admission/procedure time range and release time range would have allowed me to more easily arrange appropriate transport. Basically, more information would have made things a bit easier is all

I was under Matt’s care from 10 weeks and our baby girl was safely delivered via elective c section at the Kensington Wing at Chelsea and Westminster hospital. Matt was calm, patient, a proactive listener and provided clear explanations, combining his own experience and evidence based research, to help us with every decision. Choosing a consultant was a huge decision for me and my husband, especially as first time parents having undergone IVF, but going with Matt was a no brainer after the first meet and greet. My husband and I trusted Matt entirely throughout the pregnancy. Matt really got to know us and would always choose his words carefully to ensure we understood the important points and weren’t overwhelmed by unnecessary detail. Matt read us well and meant we could speak freely and left every appointment completely happy that all our questions were covered. Matt was always available via WA and very responsive. Special shout out to Matt’s PA, Sarah, who was organised and took away a lot of anxiety around logistics. Sarah was extremely responsive, helped liaise with KW on my behalf and knew the process and administrative aspects inside out. Everything was seamless between Matt, Sarah and the KW team and I never had to (re)explain myself and what was needed. I had to go in for some urgent tests on a weekend and by the time I got to KW, Matt had already asked the team to expect me and communicated what was required. When results were ready the team called Matt on the spot to discuss next steps, and Matt then separately messaged me to confirm. The c section itself was the most perfect experience and I cannot imagine anyone but Matt providing support for my future pregnancies. The rapport between Matt and the delivery team, including Mark Cox (Anaesthetist), was clear and that made me and my husband feel calm and relaxed so we could be fully present throughout. Dr Sadia Bhatti

Sadia is an extraordinary person and consultant- we couldn’t imagine the birth of our son without her! Following IVF I had quite a few anxieties about pregnancy and birth (my greatest life fear!) and choosing to work with Sadia was the best decision. Throughout our ongoing appointments she helped interpret scans/ test results, monitor concerns and was available on Whatsapp whenever we needed (weekend and nights included). I fell unwell 5 days before I was due to go in for our c section but throughout this experience in hospital Sadia was there to lead the treatment plan and it was incredibly reassuring to have a constant, expert guiding next steps with someone who knew me and the baby well already. The c section itself was amazing and the most incredible and surreal experience of my life (not the scary surgery I’d built it up to be) and this was largely down to Sadia’s professional, calm and practical approach in every step, alongside the great team she assembled for the operation. My recovery has been far better than expected and the scar incredibly neat. Looking to the future, I would 100% work with Sadia if we manage to have another child and recommend her to anyone looking for continuous and amazing support and expertise throughout pregnancy and birth. We can’t thank Sadia enough!

I cannot recommend Miss Di Marco highly enough. She is an outstanding surgeon who specialises in thyroid and parathyroid disease, and her care went far beyond technical excellence. From our very first consultation, she took time to explain the procedure in clear, reassuring terms, patiently talking me through what to expect and answering all my questions. Most importantly, she made me feel genuinely listened to and reassured, which made an enormous difference. As a result, I felt calm, informed, and confident going into surgery. In theatre, just before I went under, she spoke to me in a calm, steady voice and talked me through the laryngoscopy step by step. That simple act of kindness made me feel safe, relaxed, and completely confident that I was in the very best hands — which I truly was. Miss Di Marco combines exceptional surgical skill with real compassion and humanity. I am deeply grateful for her care and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing thyroid or parathyroid surgery.

Miss Laura Spanu

A good post surgery follow up appointment with Miss Spanu. Explained the sebaceous cyst that was excised in surgery was benign, which gives peace of mind was not hiding something potentially more serious. On inspecting the wound area confirmed it had been healing well and gave advice regarding being able to stretch normally and return to exercising again. It was unfortunate Miss Spanu also noticed some prolene stiches had not been removed fully by a Nurse from a previous appointment 2 weeks prior. Miss Spanu removed them and ensured the wound area was cleaned and dressed properly. The surgery itself 4 weeks prior was quick and efficient. Under local anaesthetic there was a good level of communication throughout and explanation on what was happening. There was no discomfort throughout or following the surgery. It has been very good experience from first to last appointment with Miss Spanu.

Mr Christopher Mark Andrews

I found it easy to book an appointment to see Mr. Andrews and the consultation was thorough and my condition was explained to me in terms that I easily understood. Mr. Andrews arranged for me to have an MRI scan and the appointment came through within days. The MRI scan procedure was simple and again everything was explained to me. I am having a telephone conversation with Mr. Andrews this week to find out the results of my scan and discuss the way forward. Mr. Andrews replaced a hip joint for me thirteen years ago which was life changing for me , as I am a farmer. This enabled me to go about my farming activities free from pain and regaining my mobility. I can't speak highly enough of Mr. Andrews.

I was seen at breast clinic as a precautionary investigation I was nervous but I was met with such friendly natural staff which instantlymmade me feel at ease i was checked by the Dr then sent for a mammogram and then aent for an Uktrasound scan I am pleased to report that everything was normal and no concerns I thanked the dr profusely when he told me that everything was normal and i spoke highly to him about my having all the results within the time i was there I cannot thank you enough and thank the NHS for sending me there as I would not have ever wanted to wait for breast cancer screening results so to have them on the same night was so reassuring Thank you a nmillion times S

I have been receiving help from Dr Lafina Diamandis for my ongoing medical issues for some time now. Honestly, Dr Diamandis has been very caring and helpful. She's relentless in trying to find the solution and the right help for me, going over and beyond just to help me. Even if all other ideas fail, she always tries to find another way, not giving up on me. I travel miles to London to see Dr Lafina Diamandis because she is a breath of fresh air, and very worth of my time to see someone like her who is passionate about their job and cares about her patience. I couldn't thank her enough for her help and support. Words can't fully capture it; I'm forever grateful for Dr Lafina's help.

The toilets were yet again filthy. For the second time I complained. I appreciate that nothing will change, but I discussed not only with the nurse, but also with front desk that the hygiene level was very low indeed. In a private facility this is a disgrace. Further, I found that any details given on a prior visit had not updated onto the current registration form. While I came in after 6.30 pm, i have seen the awful queues for registration at earlier times. Your reception person was on his own and was also on his own on the prior visit, and the paperwork took far too long. You need more than one person on the front desk. Overall, the clinic is poor.

I arrived 10 minutes early and found a parking space opposite the main entrance. I reported to reception who directed me the check in where I was booked in and directed to the waiting area. Only a couple of minutes later I was called for my scan, shown where to put my belongings and then directed to the MRI scanning room. Here I was explained thoroughly what would happen and then I went into the scanner for 15-20 minutes. When I came out I was told my results would be sent to my doctor in about 2 weeks and then advised I was free to go home. I have no complaints and don’t think you could improve on the service. Very well done to you all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bernie.

Mr Jarvis was extremely professional and dedicated. He wasted no time in arranging tests and scans to determine the cause of my discomfort. He was very clear and transparent about the treatment I received. I immediately received reports outlining the procedures and their findings which was extremely comforting. His dedication knew no bounds, when he personally followed up reports needed from Radiology. This, combined with the constant follow ups from his secretary Victoria, resulted in a prompt diagnosis, enabling me to continue with a previously booked trip abroad. Absolutely brilliant personal care.

Dr Malik is absolutely amazing! From day one when I walked in to the first appointment you could see that he cared and was really attentive, It felt great to be listened to and taken seriously. He broke down my procedure very clearly and assured me. I went into surgery with no worries at all because I knew that I was in great hands. My recovery has been great with no issues and I am so grateful because this has truly changed my way of life. I was in pain every day and now I truly feel free. After my original consultation with a orthopaedic surgeon at a physiotherapy clinic in Doncaster, he wanted to put me on his list. He said I could have a new knee and be fit for Christmas. I said. I want Mr Haslam to operate on my right knee..I trust him. I haven't had any issues with my left knee. He operated on my friends Son's torn ligamentes. He'll br back playing Rugby again soon. Mr Paul Haslam is a genius

Everything was excellent. Staff were kind, friendly and efficient without exception. My only concern is that there does not seem to have been a good reason for the 14 week wait after referral. It seemed clear that Newmedica would have had capacity to complete the procedure sooner but apparently the NHS would not pay for this flexibility. My sight deteriorated in that time so that was a personal negative.

The visit focused on reviewing the progress of the treatment for a double fracture in my right leg at the fibula. It included an X ray scan to assess recovery in the affected area, along with a general review of the movement in my leg and ankle. Overall, my experience was positive, with Mr Ghani providing all relevant details regarding the next steps and physio sessions.

Whilst the initial administrative/communication aspects were less than convincing, that was certainly not the case whenever I was actually on the Spire premises. All the staff on my 2 day stay for the operation were fantastic, and likewise my subsequent post op attendances for wound check, clip removal and physio sessions were of the highest quality.
