Review for Podiatrist Consultant Liam Stapleton I have been a patient of Liam Stapleton for several years, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Liam is consistently professional, attentive, and genuinely thorough. He always takes the time to listen carefully, explains everything clearly, and makes sure you fully understand both the problem and the treatment options. What really sets him apart is how deeply he thinks about each case rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. He looks at issues from multiple angles, not just the painful area itself. He considers overall functionality, gait, posture, and the geometry of movement, and how all of these interact and impact the body. This holistic and biomechanical approach has made a huge difference to my outcomes over the years. You never feel rushed, dismissed, or treated like a number. The team at One Stop Healthcare in Hemel Hempstead were very friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. I had a clean, tidy private room, which made the experience much more comfortable. The two ladies who handled my general anaesthetic were excellent and really helped put me at ease as I was quite nervous. Post surgery, the physio who showed me how to use my crutches and explained my recovery was lovely. My only criticism was the inconsistency around my sick note - my surgeon signed me off for 6 weeks, but a nurse was unhelpful and stated they only do 4 weeks and that I would need to see my GP to extend it! This felt unnecessary given this was my agreed recovery time. My surgeon did step in to resolve this. I did appreciate the follow up call a week after surgery to check how I was doing, which was a nice touch overall.

My recent visit was for a crown fitting and work on the gums. I saw Dr Balawal . I have had a number of appointments with him. He explains what he is doing and, he takes care to ensure the patient is not experiencing any discomfort. I have always understood, and been pleased with, his treatment. He presents as a very competent, conscientious dentist. The reception staff are all polite, helpful and friendly. I am so pleased that I contacted Quality Dental. I have taken out a dental plan and will continue to attend this surgery. I don't know what the other dentists in the practice are like, but I can certainly recommend Dr Balawal.

Dr Chiu promptly diagonised the need to remove my un-erupted ectopic lower third molar. Dr Chiu listened to all my concerns and answed my questions in detail. Communication was great right from the initial meeting through to post surgery follow up consultation. All meetings were followed up in writing confirming the discussion and actions agreed. Dr Chiu also identified a dental filling which was incorrectly completed by a previous dentist. I found Dr Chiu very knowledgable. I strongly suggest anyone looking for a oral and maxillofacial surgeon to contact Dr Chiu without hesitation.

I suddenly saw “shooting stars” on the outside of my vision in one eye. Realising this could have been a retinal tear needing emergency treatment to save my vision, I immediately made a private appointment to see Mr Alexander. The service I received was absolutely fantastic. My eyes were thoroughly examined by Mr Alexander who has an excellent bedside manner. He explained everything clearly, answered my questions and made a plan going forward. Luckily, my retina was intact and no treatment was required. The sense of relief I felt was priceless.

Consultant wanted to know whether I was glad I had the hip replacement, had it made a difference, and I confirmed it had as I no longer had the pain that side and had more flexibility. He checked the scar and said to massage this now. I explained was having problems with my other hip but he said as not on regular pain killers they would not consider surgery as yet. He said he would see me again in 6 months but this could be brought forward or pushed back depending on how I am. I was very happy with this flexibility and with my consultation.

I chose galaxy lenses for my cataract surgery and am now very happy with the results. No need whatsoever for any glasses. The staff were all very kind and supportive, along with Mr Hove the surgeon who was quick and efficient with the procedure. I would recommend anyone who is thinking of this procedure to not be anxious, it is quick and painless and though your vision is a little blurry after it doesn't take long to resolve.
