Dr Isabel Howat

Dr Isabel Howat is a Consultant Endocrinologist with a specialist interest in weight management, recognised for her expertise in both clinical care and innovation in the field. She graduated from the University of Dundee in 1998 with an MB ChB and is a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. She also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Nutrition, reflecting her strong focus on the role of nutrition in metabolic health.

Dr Howat has extensive experience in prescribing treatments for weight management and played a pioneering role in developing the first NHS prescribing pathway for weight loss medications in Scotland.
