I cannot recommend Dr David McGrane highly enough. Living with Hereditary Fibrinogen Aα-Chain Amyloidosis and Stage 5 chronic kidney disease meant that starting Mounjaro was not a decision to be taken lightly. My renal consultant, Dr McManus at Stobhill Hospital, recommended Dr McGrane because she wanted me to be under the care of an experienced endocrinology team, and I am so grateful she did. From the very beginning, every step has been carefully monitored. Regular blood tests, close communication with my renal team, sensible dose adjustments, and practical advice on exercise and lifestyle have meant I have always felt safe and supported. I have never felt like ‘just another patient’—the whole team genuinely care and take the time to listen. I started my Mounjaro journey in September 2025 weighing 96.95 kg and, over the past 10 months, I have lost just over 20 kg (more than 3 stone), bringing me to 76.5 kg. The weight loss itself has been wonderful, but what has mattered even more is how much healthier, stronger and more confident I feel. Combined with regular exercise, it has genuinely transformed my quality of life and optimised my health in readiness for a transplant, hopefully soon. I would never have considered this treatment without the support of my consultant, and I am incredibly thankful to Dr McGrane for helping me achieve these results safely. His professionalism, expertise and kindness have been outstanding, and I would recommend him & the Weight Loss Medics without hesitation.
