Dr. David McGrane

Dr David McGrane is a highly experienced Consultant Endocrinologist with additional specialist expertise in internal medicine and diabetes, alongside a strong focus on medical weight management. With over 15 years of experience as an NHS consultant, he brings extensive clinical knowledge and a patient-focused approach to his practice.

He graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1998 with an MB ChB and also holds a First Class Honours BSc in Pharmacology. He is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP, Glasgow), reflecting his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of medical practice. In addition to his clinical work, Dr McGrane is actively involved in medical education, delivering lectures to students at both the University of Glasgow and Glasgow Caledonian University.

Currently practicing at The Weight Loss Medics, Dr McGrane specialises in evidence-based weight loss treatments, including injectable therapies such as Mounjaro and Wegovy. He works within a multidisciplinary team that includes clinical psychologists, dieticians, and personal trainers, ensuring a comprehensive and supportive approach to care.
