Mr Abdul Waheed

Mr Abdul Waheed is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery. His areas of expertise include hip replacement surgery, knee replacement surgery, revision arthroplasty, sports injuries and lower limb trauma. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive hip and knee procedures, arthritis management and complex lower limb reconstruction.

Mr Waheed works within both NHS and private healthcare settings across Essex. His NHS practice is based at Basildon University Hospital, part of Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, where he manages elective and trauma orthopaedic conditions.

In private practice, Mr Waheed sees patients at Spire Hartswood Hospital, Nuffield Health Brentwood Hospital, Oaks Hospital and Springfield Hospital.

He treats a range of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, including hip arthritis, knee arthritis, ligament injuries, meniscal injuries and sports-related injuries. His procedural expertise includes hip arthroscopy, knee arthroscopy, total hip replacement, total knee replacement and revision surgery.

Mr Waheed completed his orthopaedic training in the United Kingdom and undertook specialist fellowship training in lower limb arthroplasty and hip and knee surgery.
