Whilst I cannot say a bad word about the care from the staff at the hospital, there were a couple of small things that knocked my rating down to a 4. My surgery, like others, was major and there didn’t seem to be much noise consideration in the day. However, their general bed side, face to face care was really lovely and helpful. I would have liked my pain relief (just basic ibuprofen and paracetamol) to be have been better monitored and managed, I did feel quite bad requesting these a couple of times. The food service was carefully thought out to ensure super healthy and tasty options where available and again, all staff where so lovely. (And everything really was super tasty!) Before my stay - I had issues within the administration side of my care, it was a little bit of a mess around to ensure I had everything booked and confirmed - I do want to state that my operation was booked relatively last minute but there didn’t feel like much urgency until I personally called to ensure everything was in place - even down to how I had to pay for my services. Thankfully a certain member within the finance team went above and beyond to make sure I knew everything I needed to know, within her area and others. She heard my panic and sprung into action. Thank you so so much for this. Overall, everyone’s general patient care/customer service was really lovely!
