Mr Wassim Hassan

In the nearly 15 years of struggles I have faced, Mr Hassan is the first consultant to make me feel truly human when speaking through the issues, diagnosis and procedures available. Every appointment filled me with absolute confidence for the path ahead and he was incredibly accommodating to my timeline within his work available. He is incredibly knowledgeable within his field, professional whilst completely approachable and shows clear passion. His patient care is amazing, both before and post op. I will forever be grateful for Mr Hassan and the care he has shown on this journey.

Mr Hassan discussed various options regarding my operation and I believe that he chose the most effective treatment option that was most personally suited to me. I am really pleased with the outcome having had a hysterectomy and pelvic floor lift . I am already feeling the benefits of the surgery only a few weeks after the surgery. . Mr Hassan is very easy to relate to and also very responsive to any queries I had .

The reason for my visit was for my 6 week post operative check. Mr Hassan went through my histology results, asked if I was now pain free and how I was getting on. He advised I could resume most tasks apart from heavy lifting which he recommended not before 12 weeks.

I recently had a hysterectomy due to adenomyosis and was under the care of Mr Hassan. From the moment I met him, he made me feel completely comfortable. He always took the time to explain everything clearly and I never felt that any of my appointments were rushed. Both before and after my surgery, Mr Hassan came to speak with me personally to check that I was okay and to make sure I fully understood what was going to happen. His care and reassurance meant a great deal during what could have been a very stressful time. I’m pleased to say my surgery went very well. I’m now 7 weeks post-operation, feeling really well, and no longer experiencing the discomfort I had from adenomyosis. I would like to sincerely thank Mr Hassan and his team for taking such great care of me.

I was referred to Wassim to help me with pelvic floor issues and a total hysterectomy due to adenomyosis. He’s clearly an expert in his field, his confidence made me feel relaxed and happy throughout, I was extremely nervous so this was important. He’s seen me daily after the surgery and will always listen to any questions I have (even repeated ones!) I appreciated that he would explain things in easy to understand ways, and always have me a choice / options. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Wassim. A lovely man and excellent consultant.

From consultation through to day after surgery he was very professional and it was obvious that he cares about his patients and providing 1-1 care. His calm and reassuring manner made me feel at ease throughout the whole process. He has been an amazing Consultant and I would highly recommend him.

Experience was as expected, surgeon and hospital good, although pain in hospital due to gases severe and not expected, would have helped to know in advance that this can occur. Groin pain intense due to pelvic floor lift, but eases after 10 days. Felt well looked after, recovery going well.
