I had a gastric bypass with Mr Jayanthi at Springfield hospital in June 2024, and I am now 10 stone down, without a doubt the best decision I’ve ever made. I was extremely nervous and after reading complications that can happen I was preparing myself for the worst. I couldn’t have been more wrong, it has been the smoothest journey ever! Mr Jayanthi and all the nurses, dieticians and hospital staff at Springfield were unbelievable. He explained all my options so carefully and was honest and transparent about everything, I was fully informed and completely looked after from start to finish. Two years of aftercare, regular check in appointments with the surgeon, nurse and dietician. Always available for advice and care, which I didn’t actually need! The care before during and after the surgery from Mr Jayanthi, anaesthetist and the nurses was seamless. I would 100% recommend Mr Jayanthis and Springfield hospital, they have completely changed my life and I will never be able to thank you all enough!!

It was a relief after 3 years of struggling with gallbladder pain an nu.erous hospital an dr appointments with infections an flare ups to finally have someone listen to me. Mr Jayanthi made me feel heard, and having my gallbladder removed has been a huge relief. As a single parent it was hard juggling day to day life an the constant flare ups an pain. Saw Mr J for a follow up visit after having double inguinal hernia surgery a few weeks ago. He is a very friendly and knowledgeable man, he inspires confidence and answered all of my post op questions . I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone in need of surgery.

From the consultation through to the operation, I found that the whole experience was better than I expected. After the hernia operation there was little to no pain or swelling. The care when I awoke was very attentive and I felt cared for.

Hernia repair

I had an open hernia repair on the 15th of January. Mr Jayanthi is a professional caring surgeon. He did a great job with my repair. I saw him today for my post op appointment. Everything has gone so well. Again he was so caring, friendly and explained to me what he had done. He was very positive and I cannot thank him enough. Such a clever man.
