Mr Charles Corbin provides clear communication during consultations, listening to patient concerns and offering reassurance. He ensures successful outcomes from various procedures, including thumb joint replacement and repair surgery, resulting in minimal scarring and restored mobility. Mr Corbin explains complex issues and discusses all options available, providing diligent follow-up care for conditions like trigger finger and hand arthritis. The most frequent patient experiences relate to significant improvements in hand and wrist conditions and effective relief from shoulder pain.
Mr Corbin has a very personable manner. He took his time to listen to the description of my symptoms to be considered along side the referral information provided by my doctor. Additional x-rays were taken at this point to ascertain the current state of the joints. Mr Corbin used the x-rays to discuss the possible treatments available to address the issues identified. The positive and possible negative outcomes of each procedure were explained to me, after which I was able to make an informed decision on the future course of action I would like Mr Corbin to take. A possible surgery date was identified, which was later confirmed via email. My surgery was undertaken within a month of my first appointment at The Private Hospital Lincoln. On the morning of my surgery Mr Corbin along with the lead anaesthetist visited me to explain the course of action for the day. Following surgery I was visited by Mr Corbin to check how I was and to explain how the operation had gone. Unfortunately, due to excessive bone degradation the ideal procedure of a thumb joint replacement could not be undertaken, however a trapeziectomy was completed instead. Eight weeks post surgery I attended a follow up appointment with Mr Corbin who was able to explain and show in more detail using post surgery x-ray the procedure he had undertaken and was able to reassure me that the twinges and intermittent discomfort I was experiencing were all part of the ...

Mr Corbin asked me if I had any problems and examined my hand and fingers. I stated I had a problem with my ring finger and he advised me on what was required.
Apart from a mix up with the location and time of appointment, Mr Corbin's follow up to my surgery was good and a satisfactory conclusion was reached for my future treatment.
