My lens replacement surgery went extremely well and I wish to thank Mr Muel-Gonzalez and his team for their professionalism, expertise and most of all the care, kindness and attention they gave to me. The experience was marvellous. I would highly recommend Mr Muel-Gonzalez who has made positive, dramatic changes to my life. I am a ‘like to know the detail’ person and once Mr Muel-Gonzalez explained the options, which we discussed at some length, I was clear about the type of lenses I required and the procedure. I knew that Mr Muel-Gonzalez was the right Consultant for the surgery. He filled me with confidence and I trusted him unreservedly. I had surgery on both eyes with three weeks between them. Mr Muel-Gonzalez kept me extremely well informed at each stage - pre, during and post surgery. The staff, facilities and hospitality at The Alexandra Hospital were outstanding. It was 5 star treatment. After 48/72 hours post surgery, my close, intermediate and distance vision were awesome - and this was without wearing spectacles for the first time for over 25 years. Within a few days post surgery, I could read the tiniest writing - even on a toothpaste tube! It may seem a bit odd to mention this I know, but I couldn’t read it wearing glasses. Colours are brighter and images are sharper too. My vision is now 20/20 and I no longer require glasses. My life has totally changed with the expertise and care of Mr Muel-Gonzalez. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I had 8 'bits and pieces' (moles etc) removed by Elaine Agius on 17 November at the Moorgate Centre, ably supported by two nurses (April and one other - sorry, didn't catch her name). The whole exercise was incredibly efficient and carried out in an obviously super-clean, sterile environment. 'Doc' Agius was wholly professional, with a caring 'bedside-manner' eg she provided helpful, accurate and reassuring 'warnings/prompts' prior to every single one of her procedures (including the frequent and slightly cool sterilisation wipe-downs). This avoided any surprises and instilled instant confidence in the guy under the knife. Thank you for a relatively enjoyable experience - I would strongly recommend that team and venue to anyone thinking of having similar treatment.

I reached out to Nadira at one of the hardest times of my life and literally had no support/help from her whatsoever. As she continually reminds everyone she is a full time mother and a full time NHS GP I don’t understand how she thinks she has the time to open a menopause clinic as she has shown me. Takes weeks to reply to any correspondence. Also she certainly has NHS GP mentality on any HRT. She has no up to date knowledge and is very nervous and unsure whilst in a consultation with her. She quoted lots of things that were wrong and outdated as new evidence has suggested. I would not waste your money and go to Menopause specialist who is only doing this full time.

After I got a PCO in my left eye I needed laser surgery. I had not been told this was common after Lens replacement by the opticians who did did that surgery so I was very worried about my sight. I contacted Cathedral Eye Clinic who assured me it was common and was easily corrected. They made an appointment and in less than an hour my sight was restored. I was dealth with by very friendly and professional staff and would happily recommend Cathedral Eye Clinic to anyone .

Arrived in the Spencer outpatient dept for my preassessment appointment they said I was in the wrong area needed to be upstairs in the ward which when I asked how to get there they arranged for a nurse to come and collect me to take me where I should have been. They were all very nice kept making sure I was okay while waiting and the members of staff in the ward were so helpful friendly couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Miss Summerhayes is fantastic. She is very reassuring, friendly and knowledgeable. She has a terrific bedside manner, which eased the strss of my cancer treatment. Lyn Corlass keeps the process running smoothly and has always gone the extra mile to ensure that there was minimal waiting time for tests, treatments and appointments. Over all, they have made a very difficult time, much easier to deal with.
