The Motherhood Practice - and Clarissa in particular - has genuinely been a godsend. She’s been with me and my husband since the earliest stage of our pregnancy journey, offering information, education, reassurance and positivity at every step. In particular, Clarissa helped me prepare mentally for my c-section by explaining exactly what would happen on the day - who would be in the room, what to expect, and how everything would unfold. The support after our daughter arrived was just as invaluable. In those first few weeks, I had countless questions - from whether certain noises she was making were normal to how much to feed and bathe her. Having someone experienced to turn to was such a comfort. What also made a big difference was the way Clarissa supported me as a new mother emotionally. She understood the unexpected toll the postnatal period can take on your state of mind and helped me navigate it without judgement. She constantly reminded me that every baby is different, every parent is different, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to such a huge life change. That perspective gave me confidence to embrace motherhood - and maternity leave - on my own terms. I can’t recommend The Motherhood Practice enough. This isn’t to discredit the amazing work of the NHS, but rather to say that having Clarissa and The Motherhood Practice alongside you is an added layer of support during one of the biggest and most meaningful experiences of your life.

I had the opportunity to join the motherhood practice by doing the programme of pregnancy package 2nd semester. As a first pregnancy, I really wanted to recommend it. The service is very personal, I felt I was always in the right hands, and made my whole journey of pregnancy much smoother, and being able to embrace it. Every time I was unsure , and questions came to my mind I knew where to turn, being able to make my own path… They always checked on me.. Clarissa has lots of expertise and you can see how she explains information and brings her own background to guide you.

One of the things we appreciated most was the continuity and personal nature of the care. Having someone who knew our situation and could guide us through each stage made the experience feel much less overwhelming. We felt listened to, supported, and involved in decisions throughout. The service provided both practical help and reassurance during what can be an uncertain time, and we would happily recommend it to other expectant parents.
