After extensive research, my husband and I agreed that Vincenzo Maurino was the best person to perform our lens replacement surgery. We felt comfortable right from the initial consultation and knew we had made the right decision. Andrew was very warm and welcoming and explained everything to us clearly about appointments and payments. Mr Maurino took time to advise us on the best treatment and lenses to suit our individual needs. We were tested thoroughly by Mr Maurino’s excellent team. At no time did we feel under pressure to commit; however, we were so impressed with everything that we were anxious to book our procedures straight away. On the day of our surgeries, we arrived at Moorfields and were greeted by wonderful nurses who took great care of us. Mr Maurino talked us through the process both before and during surgery. Everything was very efficient, quick, and painless. We have no hesitation in recommending Mr Maurino and staff; in fact, we have already passed on Mr Maurino’s details to friends and family who are now looking to book. A massive thank you to the whole team for an excellent service. We are delighted and grateful for the life-changing experience and having 20/20 vision for the first time in our lives.

From first contacting my GP who could have referred me to a podiatrist but asked me to decide on whether it was appropriate (a decision for which I have no expertise to make) in late May it took over 3 months to see Mr Qasim (via TIMS during which I obtained no advice to go back to GP to get podiatrist referral, but instead a referral to Mr Qasim for steroid injection). However, the podiatrist at Freeman said steroid was no longer suitable due to second toe having developed a hammer deformity by then (mid-November). I think I should have been referred straight to Freeman, not via TIMS and Mr Qasim because I had months of delay and pain while I waited, thus affecting my ability to do my job as a nurse.

I came in today for surgery feeling incredibly nervous after a bad experience on the NHS previously, all I can say is I am so impressed with how different the process has been with the team today. Everyone from reception to the nurses to the anesthesiologist and of course Mr Banwell were genuinely fantastic and I can’t thank them enough. No question or ask was too much, I truly felt genuine care and warmth from all the staff. They checked on me regularly, reassured me constantly. My pain has been managed incredibly well and Mr Banwell’s precision has most definitely aided this too. I can’t be more grateful for everyone that cared for me today, Thank you all so much.

On arrival I was taken into a room by the Sister and given an examination, drops and told not to rub my eyes after the Laser. Just a few minutes later I went into see Mr Cazaban, after examination I was told that both eyes now need treatment and agreed to this. the actual Laser treatment was slightly uncomfortable but to be expected. After this Mr Cazaban told me that my surgery was completed and that I should never need further laser treatment. The only complaint I would have was after the initially being told not to rub my eyes I was given no after care information.

I had an ACL reconstruction and medial repair operation in September. The care i received from Mr Dehne and the team at West Midlands hospital was exceptional. Everything from pre op to post op was and has been fantastic and put me at total ease. This was my first operation and first real experience being admitted into hospital and i couldn’t have been more comfortable. The surgery couldnt have gone better and i’ve had minimal pain to date and recovering well. I’m very happy with the care i received and want to thank Mr Dehne and his team.

My recent visit to the Fortius Clinic for removal of stitches and a post operative assessment was short, on time and to the point. On arrival, as always for previous appointments, the reception staff were briefed and I was immediately sent to the correct location, waiting time in a comfortable environment was minimal before being called in to see my surgeon, Mr Houlihan-Burne. who took the time to answer a few questions. and assure me that should there be any future queries or worries, he & his staff were always available. It was great to be able to see Mr Steven Lau at the Spencer, although a great shame that the NHS does not recognise crossover between private and public services. I had paid £250 to see Mr Lau for the same consultation as I had on 7th January, meaning that I am no further along the path of accessing the treatment I’ve waited 21 months for. I am grateful, however, that I’m accessing private services via the NHS
