After seeing several gynecologists, Mr Raza was at last the most reassuring and straight forward in explaining why having a robotic laparoscopic hysterectomy would be the best way forward for me. This was my second cataract operation on my left eye having had a very successful cataract removal and lenses replacement on my right eye performed by Mr Sian a couple of months earlier at Musgrove Park. Mr Sian’s skills , patience and care are exemplary. The outcome hss exceeded all my expectations. For information I initially saw Mr Sian at the Nuffield and had my resulting procedures at Musgrove Park due to the complexity of both eyes. My comments apply mainly to Musgrove although are also applicable to treatment received by Mr Sian at the Nuffield Taunton.

Dr Tang was simply wonderful. He was very kind, gentle and understanding of my worries and health problem. He explained the procedures well and reassured me. After the endoscopies he reported back and explained clearly what he had found. All the staff at Hadley Wood were also extremely friendly, competent and reassuring, particularly Nurse Grace. Dr Tangs secretary was extremely efficient and friendly. She was quick to respond to my messages and ensured my consultations and treatment happened smoothly and speedily.

Staff and facilities were amazing. The only thing I felt could be improved was the food. Generally it felt like there was quantity over quality. I had overcooked fish. I selected a starter of prawn and avocado salad one day as I wasn’t overly hungry and was presented with a huge bowl of salad which was swimming in the dressing which wasn’t pleasant. As I say everything else was amazing I just expected the food to match the service.

It was very easy to arrange an appointment with Mr Nakhla, to obtain an MRI scan and treatment all within a few weeks. I had a tear in my shoulder's rotator cuff that prevented me lifting up my arm. Mr Nakhla walked me through the MRI diagnosis and explained the treatment. A steroid injection remedied the shoulder, restoring full, pain free motion. A very positive experience that cured a year old injury.

The whole experience was very easy, everything was explained before it happened, there were plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and the whole set up was efficient, friendly and spotlessly clean. The actual cataract surgery took no time at all, and was painless, although felt peculiar. I was able to go home much quicker than expected.
