Miss Harleen Deol is a Consultant Oncoplast Breast Surgeon with over two decades of experience in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery. She sees private patients at several clinics in Hertfordshire.
Miss Deol qualified as a Doctor from St Barts and the Royal London in 1997 and was then the first woman to enter the Royal London Hospital General Surgical Rotation in over 20 years. After this, she undertook further senior specialist General Surgical training in London and a Paediatric Surgery Fellowship at The Royal London Hospital. Having worked and trained in several Breast Units in London, she was then awarded a prestigious National Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Fellowship with the British Association of Surgical Oncology.
Since being appointed as a Consultant at East & North Herts NHS Trust in November 2011, she has been the Chairwoman for Beds & Herts Network Cancer Group, working with the national Cancer Alliance to improve breast cancer care for women in Hertfordshire. In 2020, Miss Deol became Clinical Director for Breast Cancer in the Trust & since March 2021 serves on the Association of Breast Surgery National Clinical Practice & Standards Committee.

Miss Deol is a fantastic doctor, lm so glad she was my doctor when going through aggressive Triple negative breast cancer and the follow ups. She is empathetic and a lovely person too with a great bead side manner, she explained everything to me clearly so l understood what was going on, listened to all my many questions, without doubt she helped me get through a very tough time, l’d definitely recommend her to anyone going through breast cancer. I still see her for follow ups and always get a lovely hug too.

I had to get a lump in my breast removed and I am so pleased Dr Deol was my specialist. She explained clearly to me why I need to have the surgery and reassured through every step. I was very relaxed before going to surgery before I felt in good hand and that she really cared about my well-being. I would 100% recommend her

She was extremely empathetic and reassuring. She explained everything clearly and allowed me time to ask questions. A very positive experience overall and I would not hesitate to see her again or to recommend her to others.

Miss Deol was outstanding in her care with me. Having a referral to see a breast doctor is never a good thing but she was clear on her explanation and once she assessed there was nothing serious to worry about she was quick to reassure me. Really happy with how she conducted the appointment.

I had an appointment with Miss Deol back in July and she was super friendly and instantly made me feel at ease. She was very personable and friendly and listened to my concerns with care. She communicated very professionally throughout and explained how the appointment would go. I left the appointment feeling really reassured and overall Miss Deal made it a really positive experience for me which I was really grateful for given I was quite nervous beforehand. Her assistant was also really lovely!

I recently saw Miss Deol for a consultation and was immediately drawn to her warmth and reassuring manner. Her knowledge and professionalism were both first class in every way, together with the fact that she was kind and caring towards a very nervous patient. It is rare to find a Consultant that combines such personal touches and genuine care towards a patient together with an outstanding knowledge of medical care. I could not have asked to have been seen by a nicer genuine person than Miss Deol and would not hesitate to highly recommend her.
