I always have a good experience when visiting the practice. The staff are always friendly. However, on the last visit I think there are things you guys need to review. I was in for a gel injection into my knee which was being carried out by Mr Dehne in the theatre. He had previously confirmed that it would be a simple procedure and that after a short time I would be fine to drive home. However, on arrival it was clear that the team believed I was in for a knee replacement. I was shown to my own room, asked to select from the menu for the following day, and given medication that I assume I didn't require! Further more, the team were loathed to let me drive home and I had to wait a couple of hours until they could check with Mr Dehne that it would be ok as all the paperwork confirmed otherwise. The theatre staff were double checking with me the reason for my visit so there was a checking procedure in place but you may need to review why there was confusion in the first place.

I’m now two months post-op and I honestly feel amazing, like I’ve got my life back. I can’t recommend Dr Hunter highly enough, especially if you’re suffering with fibroids. He has made such a huge difference to my quality of life and I'm so hugely grateful.

I have been under James Duncan's care for over a year having had four operations on my knee which got infected under a total knee replacement which had been in place for 8 years. A year ago this week I had the final part of a two stage revision which has worked wonders. I do not feel that I could have had any better care both during my three hospital stays and afterwards. James and the whole Trauma & Orthopaedic team were absolutely brilliant as were the staff on the three RBH wards where I spent a total of 55 days in 2024 and into January 2025. She was very professional and very knowledgeable, however because of that I was expecting the whole process to be more proactive. She did not have results from the previous process in the NHS hospital (not that I was expecting her to have them, however if I am asked in advance I could have potentially got them). So in the end I paid the insurance provider to be told that nothing could be done privately. Again, the consultation was fine, however I came out from it with the same knowledge (about the situation) I had from the NHS hospital.

Dr Georgiou was extremely kind and generous with his time, despite this being a second-opinion consultation. My uncle was diagnosed with advanced, stage IV malignancy, and Dr Georgiou approached the case with seriousness and care, without being dismissive or overlooking treatment options. He supported the appropriate treatment plan, and after four cycles my uncle is doing remarkably well. His clear explanations and compassionate attitude gave our family reassurance and confidence at a very difficult time.

I have only positive things to say! I managed to get an appointment at a very convenient time for myself, and the staff worked really hard to make that happen. I was very well looked after on my day in hospital. The nurse was very nice and showed great empathy when I was feeling a little nervous. The procedure went well and I am now (almost) recovered, with just my final consultation to go. This was my third experience at McIndoe, and they were all equally as good.
