The day of the operation went very well. I have no complaints about how I was treated and the outcome. And the follow-up appointment went well. However, I found the lead-up to the operation quite stressful. Firstly, the admissions letter didn't state which eye was being operated on, or the type of anaesthetic - which I found very surprising. The admissions department then confirmed the correct eye, but said that I was due a general anaesthetic. When I said that I'd requested a local one, I was asked to get confirmation of this. I did this and, in the end, I was told it was local plus sedative - which meant that I had to fast. I felt that if I hadn't pursued this myself, I could have turned up on the day of the operation having eaten breakfast. Secondly, the booking form quoted my wrong date of birth. When I pointed this out, I was asked to provide it, because they didn't know what it was. I found this very worrying - surely the date of birth is a fundamental part of the registration / admissions process. Next, I was told before the operation (from two different sources) what the cost would be. I paid this money two days before the operation. On the next day, I received a phone call to say that I hadn't paid. The person didn't seem to believe me when I said I had . . . and asked me to send him proof. Which I did. And then, following the operation, I got an email telling me that I hadn't paid the full amount and that I owed you more money. When I challenged this by email, I didn't get a reply. But then, I was told by a very helpful chap (in person, when I went back for my follow-up appointment) that the original figure was just an estimate. This really wasn't obvious to me, I'm afraid. So . . . the day of the operation went very well, but can you please improve your admissions and finance processes. Finally, please note that the letter to my GP quoted the wrong eye for the prescribed eye drops.

I am a 56 year old female and in March this year I was diagnosed with estrogen receptor positive breast cancer. The lump was removed and it was thankfully found not to have spread to my lymph so all that followed was 5 sessions of radiotherapy and I have to take a low dose of tamoxifen (a hormone blocker) for the next five years. Because of the hormone element of my breast cancer I had to stop my HRT immediately and very quickly I found myself aching, stiff and generally creaky with a noticeable decline in my energy levels. I had also been taking NAD+ for a couple of months prior to diagnosis and had really enjoyed the impact this was having on me. Because there is a risk that NAD+ can exacerbate any pre-existing cancer in the body I had to stop taking this as well. The future was looking a little gloomy at this point!! I could not have been more delighted to have discovered Dr Ethan at this time. I was very keen to explore how I might be able to access peptides to combat the effects of stopping HRT but needed to find someone to oversee this who fully understood the impact that they might have on my health given my recent breast cancer. Dr Ethan’s background in oncology offered me precisely that comfort! I have now been under Dr Ethan’s care and peptide protocols for about four months and I am absolutely thrilled with the results. I feel great! I am sleeping well again; I am full of energy; no more achy joints and friends keep telling me how well I look. I cannot recommend Dr Ethan highly enough. He is extremely thorough and takes enormous care to personalise any peptide protocols to take into account all aspects of the individual. I feel in very safe hands and am looking forward to continuing my wellness and longevity journey with Dr Ethan!

In my life, I have enjoyed a good number of pretty intensive sports , mainly football and badminton and was really impacted by decreasing ability to do so. Eventually, I had undergone double knee replacement and a heart procedure before I came to Mr Jafri to be assessed for a total left hip replacement. I suffered for a number of years with worsening chronic hip pain, low mobility and decreasing quality of life. Mr. Jafri was down to earth but friendly and very professional in the assessment of my general health status. Eventually, he operated on my hip about six months ago and it has made a world of difference in quality of life and mobility and I can, at the least, enjoy outings and walks with my family again. Mr Jafri's follow up was spot on and treatment, including nurses and support staff, in the hospital was super good!
