Mr Ali Mearza is a Director and Co-Founder of OCL Vision. He is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon specialising in laser and cataract eye surgery, refractive lens exchange and other vision improvement techniques.
Amongst other roles, Mr Mearza is a medical monitor and clinical investigator overseeing clinical trials associated to new ophthalmic technologies and is a member of the UK and European Societies of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (UKISCRS, ESCRS).

My surgery coincided with a train strike, which meant some of the nursing staff were delayed in getting into work. So Mr Mearza went through the consent forms and administered the drops himself. He is not just an outstanding ophthalmic surgeon, but very reassuringly down to earth in the way he explains everything. Truly one of the team, and clearly adored by his staff and colleagues. I was also very impressed by the way he rang me himself the next day – a Saturday – to see how I was feeling and make sure everything was OK, which it very much was.

Explained everything in full when I wasn’t suitable for laser treatment I had RLE Refractive lens Exchange instead and was called the next day to see how I was getting on excellent service.
