It was an excellent experience with Mr Minak Bhalla who was very patient in listening to all my concerns and was very professional and I had an excellent care by him .
Mr Bhalla was able to diagnose and offer treatment promptly and effectively. His vast experience and passion for improving health comes through in his patient care. His medical advice is very trustworthy - exactly what you'd expect from a consultant ophthalmologist.
Dr. Bhalla took the time to explain everything to me and as a result, it was the most thorough eye appointment I have ever had.
Relaxed atmosphere with helpful and cheerful staff Dr Bhalla was exceptional in his manner and clear with his explanation and was extremely knowledgeable and understanding. He made the experience easy and took his time and never rushed anything and returned to ask me questions or concerns I may have had throughout the consultation
The visit was good and did not take too long Mr Bhalla is a good ophthalmologist abd explains everything clearly
I was referred by my optician who suspected glaucoma. Initial tests also suggested the possibility of problems with my eye drainage passage. Mr Bhalla was gentle, kind and professional. On the basis of the tests he thought glaucoma unlikely, but discovered emerging cataracts. He tried to test for drainage but the test was too difficult for me because of osteopathic vertebral fractures. He explained the situation clearly, informed me of an alternative test and my options re cataract ops. I will be reviewed in 6 months.
My experience couldn’t have been better and the results are outstanding.
I felt relaxed, well informed and reassured. The atmosphere was friendly and professional and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mr Bhalla.
Did not have to wait more than a few minutes for simple eye tests. After about half an hour was seen by doctor who explained that stent and drops for glaucoma had been successful. I was in a d out of eye clinic within 2 hours. All nurses and doctors delightful.
I was very impressed with Mr Bhalla. He clearly explained the procedure I would go through with my cataract procedure. With my follow up appointments he has been very professional explaining everything in detail.
Mr Bhalla is a meticulous and caring glaucoma and cataract surgeon who practices according to the most up-to-date evidence and techniques. I highly recommend him.

‘No pain, all gain.’ That’s how June described her Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT) — a quick laser treatment that helps reduce pressure inside the eye by improving the eye’s natural drainage system. It’s one of the most effective non-surgical options for glaucoma and high eye pressure. No cuts, no general anaesthetic, no recovery. Just a few minutes in the chair. If you’ve been putting off an eye check — or you’ve been told your pressure is high then get in touch to have an assessment of your eyes. Narrow angles Some patients are found to have “narrow angles,” which refers to the drainage space inside the eye between the iris and cornea. When this space is narrow, fluid may not drain as efficiently, and in certain situations this can lead to a rise in eye pressure. In most people, narrow angles do not cause problems, but a small proportion may be at risk of developing angle-closure glaucoma, which can affect vision if untreated.

Changes in vision are common, but they are not always something to ignore. Knowing when to seek eye care can make a real difference to long-term eye health. That is exactly why it is important to know when to see a consultant ophthalmologist.
