The only problem with our appointment was the extremely long wait wich we appreciate was not the fault of Mr Baneke. He is always very welcoming and explains things very clearly.

Thank you. I am sorry NHS clinics do often have a significant wait due to the pressure on the service.
I found Mr Baneke to be approachable and professional. He took the time to explain what was to be done and answered any questions I had .
The operation went well and has been successful my vision has improved greatly
Eye clinic was not easy to find, not very well sign posted, nurses were very polite and happy, Dr Baneke was very thorough and considerate, professional.

Thank you. At Southend University Hospital (NHS) the eye clinic is in a separate building at the back of the hospital. Please ask at main reception for directions.
I found it very organised and the Doctor was very good at explaining everything to me
Unsure why we were told to bring slippers or a change of top but I felt I was in safe, professional hands.

Thank you for your review. Some patients like to wear slippers in theatre. We use water during surgery. Occasionally this means your top can get damp so having a dry top means you will be more comfortable going home.
Good experience, was kept informed throughout the procedure
Mr Baneke was very welcoming, professional and obviously very knowledgeable. He made a real effort to explain my issues in a way that I could understand without bombarding me with technical jargon, as well as providing a plan to control my condition. He is very approachable, and offered plenty of opportunities to ask questions, providing satisfactory answers to all. Overall, it was a very comfortable and easy interaction. Many thanks.

Thank you
Thorough, meticulous, caring clinician
