Dr Philip Goodall

I qualified from Nottingham University Medical School in 2010 and completed surgical and sub-specialty urological training in the East Midlands. During my training I undertook an additional research fellowship at the Jon Van Geest Cancer Research Centre completing an MPhil in cancer biomarker research. During the latter stages of my urological training I developed a specialist interest in upper tract urothelial, bladder and renal cancer.

I currently work as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and specialise in urological renal/upper tract and pelvic oncology. This encompasses the management of patients with superficial and advanced bladder cancer, upper tract urothelial cancer and renal cancer. I specialise in extensive pelvic and upper tract renal surgery, including open, robotic and laparoscopic/minimally invasive techniques along with all aspects of general urological surgery. This includes benign prostate surgery and prostate cancer diagnostics.

I am the current urological-oncology MDT lead for Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Outside of work I am a keen middle and long distance runner, golfer and busy with two young children.
