Nicola Hood has been a diamond in a coal mine for me personally. She opened my mind so gently that I never even felt it happen. Her manor is so calming and her abilities to shine light and logic onto what for me was the unexplained has taken me to a place where i can begin to regain control of a very important aspect of my life. Nicola seems to have a very natural talent of getting to the route of things without a feeling of invasion into your private feelings. I was embarrassed about the way i was feeling when i first spoke with Nicola and I am still amazed how easy she was to talk to and how quickly she understood and clarified things for me. Thanks to Nicola I am on a new path, with a different mind set going forward and with all the tools she presented to me I am now determined to honor her invested passion and emotional input by successfully conquering my fears and challenges. I can honestly say that alone i would have not been able to get back to where i want to be but Nicola has opened this door for me and shown me that it is achievable. My future now seems clearer and hopefully by me holding up my end of the commitment I shall be riding my motorcycle again and i look forward to the spring of 2026 where I can thank Nicola from behind my motorcycle handlebars. Professor Miranda made me feel at ease as soon as we met for the first time. He looked at the problem with my hand and explained that it was something called Dupuytrens Constriction and that it was possible to improve my hand shape by an operation. He explained in detail the procedure for an operation which I then agreed to. All went well a now 2 months after the operation and with the necessary physiotherapist, the finger that was bent is now straight and not giving me pain any more. I would recommend anyone to Professor Miranda for any surgery required on their hands. He was kind, understanding and had a sense of humour, my whole experience was made easy by his demeanour.

It was my last visit to see Professor McDonnell, following a hip replacement. He had good news, he didn't want to see me again, as I had progressed so well. I was pleased, but also for him, as he obviously did a brilliant jon on my hip. Stephen is very human, caring and dilligent. I certainly would recommend him and refer to him if I needed any furtger surgery. After experiencing so much pain, cancelled holidays and social arrangements, at last he has given me my lafe back. I really can't thank him enough.

In my opinion, Mrs Shukla was really lovely, kind and patient, and made me feel really comfortable. I was nervous I wanted answers. I wasn’t really sure how much information I was going to get at my appointment. Was I going to have to go back but actually she answered everything in one appointment when I walked out of her office, I felt so much better. I had a plan. She had a plan and we were going to do it together thank you.

Friendly staff at Main Reception who gave clear directions to Imaging Department. Department staff were friendly, professional and efficient. Radiographer was great - clear with his questions and explanations. Changing room was a good size, but would benefit from redecoration and coat hooks/hangers would be useful. Overall, a good experience, but would have liked the report to have been sent to the referrer quicker.

She has working relationships with several other physicians locally to whom I was referred for further testing.
