Although I'm based in the north of England, under London Prostate Clinic they had been keeping a watching brief on a low level prostate cancer diagnosis and enlarged prostate since 2018. Taking a daily Tamsulosin tablet had been effective until December last year when I had a UTI that made me quite ill. In March this year, another serious UTI caused me to have a catheter fitted at an A+E hospital. My difficulty passing urine had worsened due to the increasing enlargement of the prostate, so after research I decided that the HoLep route of treatment would be the most effective and have the least side effects long term. I discovered Dr. Matthew Liew working out of Spire Manchester hospital and from the first consultation he put my mind at ease with his calm professional manner and good humour. The operation date was arranged within 3 months and was a complete success. I am now back to normal urine flow and complete bladder emptying. My PSA reading has dropped from a high of 11.5 to 5.2. I had 2 post op consultations with Dr. Liew where any questions or concerns were discussed and I am now looking forward to maintaining a normal life, urologically speaking! (age 66).

Her friendly, calm manner made an experience that could have been very stressful into something positive and manageable. The staff at the clinic were also wonderful — welcoming, understanding, and very supportive throughout our visit. It’s rare to meet a doctor and team who combines such professional skill with genuine warmth and understanding, and we felt completely supported from beginning to end. We are so thankful for the way we were cared for, and would highly recommend this practice to anyone.

I visited the doctor for my child, who was experiencing muscle pain in his chest whenever he got tired during physical training. From the very beginning, the doctor was polite, friendly, and extremely professional. He explained each part of the diagnosis step by step and clearly outlined what he planned to do throughout the treatment. He carefully drilled down into every test to identify the root cause, which gave me a lot of confidence. He was very patient and thorough, making sure everything was clearly understood before moving forward. He also created a safe and comfortable space for parents to ask questions and answered every single question with great patience and clarity. Overall, he is a complete professional who provides confidence and hope. I am extremely satisfied with the exceptional care and support he provided for my child

Couldn't fault the hospital at all. It is clean, and a very welcoming environment, but of course is absolutely down to the people that run it. Every single member of staff I came across - whether in my pre op assessment appointment, or during my surgical visit - was incredibly kind, patient, and so easy to get along with. I have had few good experiences when it comes to hospital visits, but the two times I've been at The Lister Hospital, I have spoken to and laughed with so many workers. My nurse Rasheed was an absolute gem, and was brilliant with my family when they came to the room after surgery. I was in private unit ,I had an apointment with Mr. al Midani. For the subjects kidney , hernia, obesity. I turst Mr. Al Midani. He is a perfect doctor. 👏👏🧿🧿⭐⭐. He thinks with the patient, on the side of the patient. He explains everything briefly. We had the obesity subject in the last 6-8 months. ,it goes very well. I got 18-20 kg lighter. And in a few months Most probably I will have the surgery for my hernia occured after the kidney transplantation/mediterranian univ. Mr. Al Midani will do the hernia operation here in Royal Free. Because he has the experience on both hernia and kidney transplantation. Thanks to him for all his efforts.. And congrats 👏🧿⭐

It took a few days for my eyes to adjust as my prescription was very strong and complicated, (lazy left eye.) I found fiztwilliam more helpful than the Boston West. After the operation the Boston west did not give me crutches to walk to the recovery chair, they did not ensure I had been to the toilet before leaving and I was walking out of the building 30 minutes after waking from the operation. Fiztwilliam was excellent as was Dr Kurup.
