About Mr Phillip Ameerally
Mr Phillip Ameerally is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Northampton General Hospital with specialist expertise in head and neck surgery. His clinical interests focus on head and neck cancer surgery, reconstructive surgery, skin cancer treatment, facial plastic surgery, and salivary gland surgery.
Mr Ameerally is actively involved in the multidisciplinary management of complex cancer cases and is a member of both the Head and Neck Cancer Multidisciplinary Team and the Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary Team at Northampton General Hospital. His work includes surgical treatment of head and neck tumours alongside reconstructive procedures aimed at restoring both function and appearance following cancer surgery.
He also provides a specialised Mole Mapping Service designed to monitor existing and newly developing skin lesions. This service helps identify early changes in moles that may indicate potential skin cancer, supporting early diagnosis and treatment.
To further develop his expertise, Mr Ameerally undertook advanced international fellowship training in reconstructive surgery and facial reanimation. His overseas training included fellowships at the Chang Gung Hospital within the plastic surgery department and at the Amrita Hospital in the Head and Neck Unit.
His practice combines specialist oncological surgery with reconstructive and facial surgical techniques, allowing him to provide comprehensive care for patients with head and neck, skin, and facial conditions.

During my visits I found Mr Ameerally to be very professional but totally aware of my concerns.
I’ve never had any bad service or consultation from Mr. Ameerally. He’s an amazing consultant that gives great information and advice moving forward regarding my treatment thank you Mr. Ameerally for everything that you’re doing and done for me.
I can’t praise Mr. Ameerally highly enough and J believe that the people of Northants are so fortunate to have someone of his calibre, caring for them. Thankfully for me, he has shown all the attributes of a superb surgeon/ consultant. He is a true professional whilst being very easy to talk to and not having any ‘airs and graces’. Whenever I have seen him for consultations, he is calm. friendly, reassuring and so personable. I do not always understand people’s accents , which can be frustrating and embarrassing but I can understand every word he says without having to ask him to repeat what he’s just said!! Thank you, Mr Ameerally, you’re a treasure.
