Very quick polite friendly and helpful staff

Initial consultation with kind helpful staff. Thorough competent examination and procedure explained well. 3 month wait for surgery. On arrival taken quickly through to preparation room. Gown given to wear over clothes. Taken to theatre anti room where eye drops given, this was pain free. No sedation needed. Asked by surgeon if I could stare at bright lights during the operation; I confirmed this was the case. Taken into operating theatre and made very comfortable lying on my back. A thin white cloth was placed over my face with air blowing gently onto my face. Surgery commenced and all I was aware of was three white bright lights to look at and a slight image of fine lines moving across my vision. The surgery was finished quickly; I believe in about 20 minutes and I was taken back to another room with an eye patch . I wore the eye patch overnight and for ten subsequent nights. My vision was very good by the next morning, an excellent result. No showering for a week, no heavy lifting or gardening for at least two weeks. Cleanliness of hands and face very important following surgery to avoid an infection. Excellent result and I look forward to having my other eye operated on.!

Everyone I met was kind, professional and understanding. The staff took the time to listen to me, answer my questions and make sure I understood everything clearly.
