Wow, what an amazing place with a holistic approach to recovery. Far from previous experiences that simply provide a detox and a few tools tacked on the end. Delamere provides any willing individual the opportunity to explore yourself and a way of life that can truly bring balance and happiness. The food was excellent, home cooked with minimal processed food, probably only the tofu as the vegetarian option was processed, along with bacon and sausage for breakfast. Chefs were very approachable and friendly, even gained some advice on what to cook at home. The overall environment was clean, tidy and well maintained. The liaison team were excellent and always on hand to support and guide when needed.The nursing team were also superb, always there to answer any medical questions in a compassionate way. The mentors provided clear direction without judgement or bias. My therapist was second to none and created a safe environment for me to discover myself, while always being there to catch me when I stumbled. All in all a life changing experience. I have left with a solid toolset and aftercare package that will steer me through a joyful life with my friends and family. Only negative was the insane temperature in the bedrooms…..bring some cool PJs.

Since that operation, my shoulder had been in constant pain. After numerous hospital visits and rounds of physiotherapy, I was repeatedly told there was nothing wrong and that I would simply have to live with it. I was then recommended to Dr. Jagwant Singh, and from my very first appointment he recognised that something wasn’t right. He immediately sent me for an MRI scan, which revealed a bicep tear and a labral tear. He arranged the necessary surgery and successfully repaired my shoulder. I cannot thank Dr. Jagwant Singh enough. I’m now eight weeks post-op, the pain has almost completely gone, and my movement has nearly returned. From the first visit, Dr. Singh explained everything clearly, never rushed, and always took the time to answer all my questions.

Due to my individual circumstances there was some confusion in relation to payment and that spilled over onto me personally as well as causing stress across the whole procedure at the outset. This was resolved but exposes the fact that some attention needs to be paid to the way things are looked at and handles when the circumstances fall outside of the general conventions of the service provided. In the end it was all sorted out but the initial confusion and stress could have been avoided. I have no complaints but was a bit surprised at the apparent chaos at the outset. I have no idea if any one aspect was to blame, I think it was probably general confusion in relation to gaps in communication between the parties involved in payment etc.

I recently had my final appointment with Simon Howard following my recovery from a ruptured Achilles tendon. Sinon has been so motivated, passionate and driven in helping me return to competitive badminton. I couldn’t have wished for a better physiotherapist to get me through this injury, and the number of times simon has helped me through both physical and mentally tough spots in my recovery have been invaluable. Later on in my treatment I still had some issues with nervous “dead spots” around my surgical site, and I was very helpfully introduced to acupuncture, which I believe had a big physical and psychological impact in recovering sensation around my ankle and Achilles tendon. Dr. Devarajan treated me for endometriosis, which included the removal of an ovarian cyst, fibroid, and endometriotic tumour. After years of suffering, she immediately put my mind at ease and arranged treatment within just 10 days of diagnosis. Four weeks post-surgery, I feel better than I have in years. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Devarajan showed genuine warmth and empathy, and she was always responsive to any questions I had after treatment. My only regret is not seeing her sooner. If I experience any issues in the future -or know someone facing similar problems-I will wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Devarajan. I stayed overnight at Spire, and the entire medical team there was excellent.

All staff, including the doctor we saw, we're very friendly, made us feel at ease, and the procedure appears to have been carried out smoothly. The only thing I'd fault is the communication before the appointment, particularly the emails. They include a misleading price, the suggestion that a follow-up would not be required (when we understand that is completely normal) and we'd understood that we could/should be in the room when the procedure was taking place, which was then quite strongly advised against.
