Appalling aftercare!! In as an overflow NHS patient. Had major surgery. Nurse refused the doctors requests in the morning. When discharged later that day the nurse still refused what the doctor asked for. The doctor had to be firm in saying what the nurse had to do as it was on the surgeons notes! The nurse reluctantly did it in the end but only half a job. The nurse left ouzing burn scars after removing dressing and didn't tell me until i put my clothes on and the material was catching on them. My husband got him back and he said "Yes i saw that!". Did nothing or aplogise. No empathy at all. I had 2 nurses come to my home that evening to sort out the burns and dressing on my surgical areas . Nightime was very little aftercare. Catheter was overflowing in the night. No one seemed to know what was going on in regards to your medical notes. Food was appalling dried up and burnt. No snack trolley inbetween meals. Awful experience. Couldn't wait to get out of there. Was I treated differently because I was in there last request as an overflow NHS patient. I was meant to be going to Birchington ward for my recovery. A complaint will be going in! The doctor said twice to have medication prescribed to the nurse and he would not do it so I came home with no painkillers and was told to go to a chemist after major surgery. Lack of care. No bedside manners.

All seemed to be going well and at the close of my appointment the consultant asked me to have a blood test done outwith the Cathedral Also he advised that I should make an appointment for the operating procedure downstairs at reception. Circa end of April When I went to the desk I was advised that the member of staff was off that pm and I would receive a call tomorrow Next day I contacted my surgery about the blood sample and test. Late on my surgery called back to advise they were not willing to arrange the test as they were not treating me I received no call from Cathedrai that day The next day I waited to on and called Cathedral Spoke to Clare a few times and essence of conversation was that all was on hold as consultant on holiday and not available till 17th February Also no progress can be made with blood sample and rest even although I asked them to read my consultation notes !!! So I could comment more however this is the essence of a mot disappointing situation after my consultation

Being assessed and diagnosed with ADHD as an adult wasn’t easy emotionally, but they handled everything with real professionalism, patience, and understanding. I never felt rushed or judged, and they took the time to explain things clearly so I actually understood what was going on rather than feeling labelled. Since the diagnosis, I’ve felt more clarity about myself and my wellbeing, and that alone has been hugely valuable. I found the system a little confusing, I wish an email went out explaining each step that would happen, but when I’ve emailed staff have always been extremely helpful. The lady that did my daughter’s assessment was very friendly and patient with her, she allowed for her to move around, have breaks and finish early. She also explained things well. The last that did the assessment with us to discuss our daughter was also very friendly and made us feel at ease. It was a long assessment, but she allowed times for breaks. We would often go off on tangents and she was always supportive of this, but also good at bringing us back round to the topic. I would highly recommend this service.

Met Dr Maciej Danilewicz a few months ago at his Leeds office. Within 1 hour I had answers what I’ve not had for 39 years. I would highly recommend his service. Wasted years going to doctors for help. What they don’t do at your Gp is send you for a psychiatric assessment. They throw tablets at you and send you on your way. For anyone struggling with mental health I think it’s very important before taking medication to have a full psychiatric evaluation. To make sure the medication your going to get is for your condition as you may have underlying issues not just depression like I had.
