I came to gri.msby on Tues 8.30am for a 2nd cataract removing everything well a bit of discomfort but nothing serious Until I woke wed . morning couldn't stand bright lights and alot of pain at the back of my eye.i went into hot sweat n nearly fainted.y husband got me sat down then we decided to ring the emergency number I was told I was 1st in the queue waited 45mins no reply I rang Brigg the answer phone said staff training day leave. Message and we'll get back to U in the next 24hrs what a load of rubbish I was going to go to A.&E but thought better of it I was very disappointed that nobody rang me back even Kay on reception said she would call this morning Waited n waited no. Call Fortunately I went to bed had good sleep woke at 2.30pm eye back to normal. But. This could have been a different story there was nobody I could get hold off regards Pauline

I can’t recommend Dr. Yanni highly enough! He performed carpal tunnel surgery on both of my hands at the Sloane Hospital and the relief was immediate. Ms Hulpus carried out cataract surgery on my right eye on the 22/12/25 and my left eye on the 25/2/26, of which I was lucky enough to be fitted with toric lenses. At first I was nervous about having the operation as most people are. Ms Hulpus explained the whole prceedure step by step at a pace that I could follow and understand. She has an amazing calmness about her that gives you so much confidence, after she had explained the proceedure I felt completely at ease. During the proceedure I was so relaxed I could quite easily have fallen asleep, I felt no pain or discomfort what so ever and she was that gentle I hardly even felt her hands on my face or forehead. Ms Hulpus is truely an amazing surgeon.

I requested a pre-consultation to gauge if Dr Gordon and I would be a good fit for the support I am looking for. It a 20 minute video call offered free of charge which I was grateful for. I found the call a little frustrating. There seemed to be some miscommunication/misunderstandings but this takes time to form and I think can be harder over video call versus in person. I have some hesistation and caution around having a face to face appointment but I am hopeful that with a longer amount time and when I shared more of my needs and history that we can work in a collaborative way.

Professor Allan has been brilliant through the process of my Septoplasty surgery. His explanations were always clear, and I found it very easy to trust his advice and expertise. He was friendly and trustworthy, and I couldn't have hoped for a better experience. The Septoplasty and turbinoplasty surgery were far less invasive than I expected. I was able to work from home a few days later, return to walks soon after, and fell exercise after a few weeks. Pain was minimal. I am very glad that I went through with the operation, and I am very happy with the results.

The senior radiographer on the first occasion was patronising and suggested that the difficulty in inserting the cannula was due to me not drinking enough water. I explained that I had been drinking fluids throughout the day; however, she then stated that I should have been drinking for two days beforehand, which is not accurate. It was a cold day, and I understand that cannulation can sometimes be difficult. I have no issue with a vein not being found, but I do object to being given incorrect information and being made to feel at fault unnecessarily.

I went back on February 26 for follow up check up.arrived before 2.had an xray of my hip within twenty minutes then had my appointment with Dr Alister mayne at2.30.he showed me the x Ray and said it all looked great.then he checken the movement and strength of my new hip.everything was great.the staff again an Dr mayne were friendly and helpful.this whole experience was great.i was very worried about it as i m diabetic .but they made it easy and looked after everything expertly.thank u very much staff and doctors at kingsbridge Ballykelly.

Really pleased to have chosen Fitzrovia for the birth of our son. We contemplated the Portland but due to complications in the delivery of my first child, we felt more comfortable giving birth in a setting with NHS hospital facilities available if needed. Room was comfortable, spacious and quiet. Midwife team were attentive, proactive and compassionate. Only downside was that there is no access to a birthing pool (though private bathroom with spacious shower facility which could be used during labour instead).
