My 14 year old daughter, who is autistic, had an appointment with Dr Kinali. From the outset Dr Kinali did not come across approachable or understanding. She spoke to us in a firm tone and without any compassion. Dr Kinali made the demand 'look at me' 3 times to my daughter which left her in tears. For autistic individuals, forced eye contact can be distressing and overwhelming. Despite this being a well recognised aspect of autism, Dr Kinal displayed no awareness or sensitivity. She showed no remorse or regard for my daughter's wellbeing after making her cry nor did she offer any comfort or understanding. Dr Kinali was defensive and argumentative throughout the consultation which made us both feel very uncomfortable. In my opinion, she behaved unprofessionally and due to her argumentative nature and refusal to accept any responsibility for her actions, we were forced to end the consultation without any results or plan to move forward. My daughter has been through significant trauma following major neurosurgery and been left with debilitating side effects that we had hoped Dr Kinali would help address and treat but unfortunately her behaviour has only left my daughter with more emotional distress and a further delay in receiving any diagnosis or treatment.
Dr. Kinali is one of the best doctors I have ever encountered. When my child was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition that caused inflammation in the brain, it was an incredibly frightening and uncertain time for us as parents. We were filled with sadness and fear of the unknown — wondering what this meant for our child’s future and whether they would be able to live a normal life. From the very beginning, Dr. Kinali stepped into the situation with professionalism, empathy, and expertise that were truly world class. She was immediately responsive and proactive, ensuring that our child received timely assessments, hospital admission, and treatment. She took the time to walk us through every detail of the diagnosis and explain what it meant — not only medically, but also practically and emotionally — for both our child and our family. Her approach was incredibly thorough. She coordinated with other specialists, stayed closely involved in every stage of care, and maintained consistent follow-up to monitor progress over time. What stood out most was her ability to combine her exceptional medical knowledge and research-based approach with genuine compassion and understanding for what parents go through in such a situation. I am someone who is very particular about medical care, and I spoke to numerous professors and doctors in the field — all of whom echoed the same sentiment: Dr. Kinali is world class and highly respected in her specialty. Coming from a country with a renowned medical system myself, I can say with complete confidence that Dr. Kinali exceeded every expectat...
Read moreDr Kinali has been the most thoughtful, kind and creative specialist we have worked with on our childrens’ healing journey. She is inquisitive and always willing to try new avenues, where many other consultants would simply say ‘sorry, there is nothing else to be done’. One of our children has had severe chronic pain for nearly two years following a Covid infection. Dr Kinali has persevered for months with us to try new things and - finally - on her recommendation, we tried out a therapy which has reduced the pain significantly. This has been life changing for our child and for our family. We cannot thank Dr Kinali enough for her perseverance. She also has a lovely bedside manner, is always asking the children about their interests and they feel safe with her. We also feel listened to and understood as parents.
If you are looking for a neurologist for your child - do not scroll past Dr Kinali. Unfortunately, my daughter developed a lot of mental and physical symptoms in her teens, so I do not exaggerate if I say we have met with 20 or so top medical professionals mostly in London, and I consider Dr Kinali (and my daughter's heart specialist) to not only be at the top of this list - but they are both together in a league of their own. Being under the care of Dr Kinali, is like she's wrapping her arms around your family and doing her outmost to make sure she achieves the best possible outcome for your child. My daughter started having migraines around the age of 12 ,and she had had them for something like 18 months/two years before we found Dr Kinali - my daughter was describing the pain as like an axe was pounding on her head and she just wanted to go sit in a hole and not come out. Other neurologists were giving her pain killers that were not working, or just telling her she would need to get used to the pain and factor it into her life - she was 12, and as you can imagine, it was devastating for her to be told she would be in this much pain her whole life. One peds doctor spent 45mins questioning me about my relationship with my own mother and did she hug me ... only for him to declare at the end of the appointment his view was my daughter's headaches would improve if I hugged her more .... To find Dr Kinali, I went through every NHS children's headache clinic in the UK and researched every peds neurologist who worked privately ... and that's when I found Dr Kinali. All ...

Dr Kinali is a very knowledgeable, thoughtful and patient professional. She has deep understanding of the subject and more importantly, she cares about her patients and collaborates well with the parents to ensure the child’s best outcome.
