About Mr Amar Mohee
Mr Amar Mohee is a Consultant Urological Surgeon whose NHS practice is based at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, primarily working at Manchester Royal Infirmary. He provides comprehensive urological care and has a particular subspecialty interest in urological cancers, including prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular cancer.
Mr Mohee studied medicine at the University of Manchester before undertaking research in urology at the University of Leeds. During this time he completed a Doctorate in Medicine, with his thesis focusing on “Infection in urological practice: bacteraemia and infective endocarditis.” Following his research, he returned to Manchester to complete his specialist training in urology.
Prior to his appointment as a consultant at Manchester Royal Infirmary, Mr Mohee undertook an advanced fellowship in robotic surgery and uro-oncology at the prestigious Henri Mondor Hospital in Paris, part of the Assistance Publique–Hôpitaux de Paris (APHP). This experience further developed his expertise in modern surgical techniques for the treatment of urological cancers.
Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Mohee is active in academic and professional activities. He has presented his work at numerous national and international conferences and has published widely across a range of urological topics. His research and publications have included work on erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, urinary incontinence and urinary tract infections, as well as other aspects of urological practice.
