Mr Ata Jaffer

Mr Ata Jaffer is a Consultant Urological Surgeon with specialist expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of urological cancers. He also has a particular clinical interest in the management of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), providing both medical and surgical treatment options for patients with prostate enlargement.

Mr Jaffer graduated with an MB BS in 2013 from the University of Hull and the University of York. He completed his specialist urological training in Yorkshire, where he developed advanced surgical skills in the management of complex urological conditions. During his training, he was awarded first prize by the Royal College of Surgeons in recognition of his exceptional surgical ability.

Alongside his clinical work, Mr Jaffer has a strong interest in surgical innovation and the development of new technologies to improve patient outcomes. He has collaborated with engineers and researchers at the University of Leeds and King’s College London on projects aimed at designing and refining tools for minimally invasive surgery.

Mr Jaffer practices privately at The Alexandra Hospital, Spire Manchester Hospital, and The Christie Private Care. His NHS position is at Stepping Hill Hospital, where he is involved in the treatment of cancerous and non-cancerous urological conditions.
