Everything was excellent

Alexandra Hospital has a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. One downfall was waiting time, my appointment was late 30min but to be fair lady from a team advices all waiting about delay. Patients were provided with updates. Overall great experience x

The whole team at the Alexandra were so caring and supportive. Really appreciated the care I received from the breast nurses, to the night nurses who tucked me in at night to the lovely nurse who held my hand when I went to the toilet after surgery.

I can't fault the care I received at The Alexandra Hospital from the pre op, to the physiotherapy. All the staff were extremely welcoming and my whole experience was very positive.

When i arrived at the hospital around 15 mins early for my appointment, I had to wait in a long queue at the front desk, only to find out it wasn't necessary and there was a different check in area that I needed to go to - perhaps a concierge at the door to direct people to the right place would be helpful as I waited so long I was panicking a little that I'd be late for my appointment with the consultant. The member of staff on the front desk wasn't particularly warm and welcoming

Unfortunately my experience prior to discharge was not good Medication distribution left a lot to be desired. Constantly had to explain medication I was on prior to surgery. I was also not informed of a uti found at pre med appointment and therefore not on the required antibiotics prior to surgery.

Well run efficient hospital, with professional staff, systems and procedures in place. Did however encounter medical issue which was not taken seriously enough by a staff nurse and had I not been vigilant enough to follow this up myself through the NHS whist still under treatment with Alexander hospital, then this could have progressed to a very serious medical emergency.
