About Dr. Moulinath Banerjee
Dr Moulinath Banerjee is a Consultant Endocrinologist with over two decades of experience in the management and treatment of patients with diabetes and hormone disorders. He sees private patients at the Beaumont Hospital, Bolton and the Spire Regency Hospital, Macclesfield.
Dr Banerjee qualified in 1992 and completed his MD degree in 1996 in India. He had further training in Medicine and Diabetes and Endocrinology in North-West England and Wales. During his training, he completed his Ph.D. from Manchester University following a prestigious grant from the British Heart Foundation. Upon completion of his training in 2009, he was appointed Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Foundation Trust and then at Wirral University Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust, The Bolton Foundation NHS Trust before joining as a Senior Lecturer at Edge Hill University from March 2024. He is also an Honorary Lecturer at Manchester University.
Dr. Banerjee has taught and organised courses in, Diabetes and Endocrinology since 2009 and has also led quality improvement projects and published peer-reviewed articles in various journals of Diabetes and Endocrinology. He has given lectures nationally and internationally in India, Bahrain, and Egypt and is also an Associate Editor of the British Journal of Diabetes and a Clinical Champion of Diabetes UK. He also takes an interest in teaching and supervising both undergraduate and postgraduate trainees. He is a Co-lead for Professional development for the Association of British Clinical Diabetologists. He has been in private practice since 2018 and on the panel of all major insurers and is available for remote consultations over the telephone or via video link.

He has liaised with my GP to ensure continued treatment within the NHS primary care setting. I could not recommend him highly enough.

Dr Banarjee is one of the best endocrinologist I have seen, he is so thorough, patient and his approach to treatment , symptoms and diagnosis is amazing as he would give you the most honest advise based on the evidence and guide you properly. I’m extremely grateful to be his patient.
