I identified Dr Stephens as someone who might be more suited to my age and sporting interests than my previous cardiologist. The difference in approach was like chalk and cheese. Dr Stephens explained the hunch he had, was willing to share surprise that a key test had been overlooked, it was arranged quickly and delivered professionally by what seemed a very experienced and knowledgeable team at Northwick Park (Mary and colleague). The results accorded with the hunch and were extremely good news. This was against a backdrop of having been advised to do three months detraining, not easy for me but doable if necessary, but without any real assurance that it would lead to a diagnosis. Twenty seven days of booked holidays cancelled with deposits refunded, the prospect of beta blockers for a protracted period, not able to give blood, not possible to continue with my previous travel insurer and always with the doubt in my mind that there may be an undiagnosed significant heart issue. I was amazed by the clarity with which the advice was given, the quality of the advice, the personableness of Dr Stephens and the speed/clarity of the communications. after the two appointments. I got lucky in being given enough info by a friend to take the decision to get myself seen by Dr Stephens. The experience has truly been life changing and I can't think of any other way of describing it. To say I am extremely grateful is a total understatement. I was also impressed by Libby and others in the administration team at Maidstone who seemed to handle everything efficiently and slickly. Overall, entirely faultless and massively impressive. He listened carefully, diagnosed the problem, and gave me the right treatment without ever rushing decisions, even when surgery was involved. I trusted him fully and never had a moment of doubt. Over time, my condition improved steadily, and less than a year later I am fully recovered, healed, and discharged, something I never thought would be possible when I first came to see him. From the bottom of my heart, choosing Mr Rasheed was one of the best decisions I have ever made. He is an exceptional consultant and an incredible person, and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for genuine care, reassurance, and trust in their doctor.

Hiba first treated me for quite a serious ankle injury. From my very first session, I immediately felt comfortable and supported by her warm and friendly presence. This injury was extremely hard for me, as it meant I could not play my favourite sport, football, which was really tough both physically and mentally. However, each week my session with Hiba became the highlight of my week. Not only is she an excellent physio who guided me through a quick, safe, and thorough recovery, but she also took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I always understood what we were working on. She never rushed me and always listened to how I was feeling, which made me feel truly cared for. On top of that, she has an amazing sense of humour, which really helped lift my spirits and made even the hardest rehab sessions enjoyable. After recovering from my ankle injury, I unfortunately injured my knee. Without hesitation, I knew I wanted Hiba to treat me again. Having already been through a tough recovery with her, I trusted her completely and felt reassured knowing I was in excellent hands throughout the process. During my knee rehab, she was just as supportive, knowledgeable, and encouraging, constantly motivating me to keep going even when it was challenging. Thanks to Hiba’s expertise, patience, and genuine care, I was able to regain my confidence and get back to playing football, the sport I love. I could not recommend her highly enough to anyone needing physiotherapy. She truly goes above and beyond for her patients.

Newmedica Leeds. 5* Care from start to finish. My optician at Specsavers suggested it was time to consider cataract surgery and I was offered an NHS referral to my choice of providers. I chose Newmedica Leeds and just over 2-3 weeks later had an initial consultation at Newmedica. Unfortunately my high blood pressure caused some problems and delayed the first cataract operation to my left eye, after 4-5 weeks weeks I had surgery on my first eye and 5-6 weeks later my second eye was done. Without exception all of the staff I met at Newmedica were friendly, helpful, and very caring. The consultant who carried out the procedure on both eyes (Mr. Kamran Khan) took the time to explain the procedure and answer my questions. During the procedures he was reassuring and calmly explained what was happening. Both procedures were carried out successfully and my sight is so much better now. I would like to give a big thank you to Mr Kamran Khan and his team and my Optometrist Summer Elyoussfi and her team for all the care and attention I received. I have no hesitation in recommending Newmedica Leeds.

My almost 3 year old child recently saw Mr Hartley for adenoidtonsilectomy and grommets. The whole experience was brilliant, he reassured me and her through the entire process. He was extremely understanding of my concerns and addressed all thoroughly. Her recovery was amazing and he saw her as an emergency when she had a suspected ear infection without question. It was extremely easy to get an appointment with him and surgery was booked for the following week. I cannot recommend Mr Hartley more, in fact he is doing my other child’s procedure in a couple of weeks which was initially booked with another consultant but moved to Mr Hartley as I trust him and his team with my children’s lives. I wouldn’t want to see anyone else. And as a bonus, his Secretary Angela is amazing, she’s so helpful, knowledgeable and understanding, they all made an incredibly stressful, emotional experience a calm and positive one.

I felt very confident in Dr Chopra, which was reassuring, and having Stephanie observe the consultation was also positive for her professional development. The advice I received aligned with my own independent analysis using AI tools, particularly ChatGPT, which further reinforced my confidence in both the diagnosis and the prescribed treatment plan. Dr Chopra also addressed additional concerns beyond the initial reason for my visit, offering a broader treatment approach, which I appreciated. While I understand that diagnosing multiple issues within a half-hour appointment is challenging, the consultation was helpful and provided the reassurance and confidence boost I was looking for.

Overall, I had a good experience at the Fitzrovia Suite. The midwives were supportive, kind, and readily available, providing good care following my c section. I was particularly grateful for the overnight support. The team helped look after my baby, ensuring I was able to get much-needed sleep and rest, which was invaluable for my recovery. However, The handover process between midwives during shift changes could be better managed, as there were some gaps in communication between team members. Additionally, the catering was fairly average and quite rigid in terms of meal timings and available options, which could be more flexible.

Any correspondence I have had with Mr Turab Syed and also his secretary I may add, has been very professional, friendly & helpful. Although I have to say that where it stops!!! It has been a nightmare for me trying to get through to talk to someone at the front desk regarding follow up appointments for steroids injections etc.I have been put through to various people & end up talking to someone on a central line in Glasgow 😩 now I have to wait until April for an appointment😢 This system should be addressed!!! The surgery itself went very smoothly with an epidural and sedation and post-op the care was thorough and well co-ordinated. I'd been forewarned that it was a painful operation but still I needed to experience this first hand. With the kind support of family and friends (they formed a 'I Love my New Knee' Whatsapp group to liaise with one another) my good recovery has taken me by surprise. The hospital was totally 'there' for me with any enquiries. I'm so grateful to have had this opportunity for such prompt 'no fuss' surgical care with a fabulous hospital experience. Thank you.

Paid privately for Hip Replacement, initial appointment was disappointing with an hour wait, and a non interested surgeon. A few blips along the way, upon arrival on surgery day, they had me down for a knee replacement not hip, staff on night shift not the friendliest, and thet x rayed the incorrect hip after the surgery. Day shift were great and surgery went well. I will say I expected more for paying privately however the main thing I've had my surgery instead of the ridiculous wait time on the nhs.
