Dr. Gary Stiefel

We saw Gary to have guidance for managing our babies eczema. He guided us how to wean off the steroid creams and how to start the pimecrolimus. The information was simple and easy to follow and he really validated what we had done so far and appreciated how difficult it can be to have a baby with eczema and allergies in the early months! He was kind and gave us time.

Really great experience with Dr Gary Stiefel - he was incredibly knowledgeable and put us at ease as parents of a baby with potential allergies. He was warm, friendly and even let us do a taste test at the clinic on the day of the appointment so we would feel comfortable continuing the trail at home. 10/10 recommend.

We went to Dr Stiefel because our baby has eczema, and to test for allergies before we start weaning. Dr Stiefel was very generous with his time, and gave clear, honest and very useful advice about the best way to approach our baby’s eczema and weaning.

Gary is an excellent doctor with a great bedside manner. I brought my little girl in for allergy testing, and he explained everything really clearly, which made me feel comfortable and reassured about the plan. He also made a real effort to build a rapport with my daughter, which I really appreciated. He was kind, patient and friendly, and it made the whole appointment much easier for her (and for me!). I’d definitely recommend him to any other parents.

Excellent initial consultation, clear explanations. Ideal follow-up regime for us, using emails, photos etc. Good two way interactions.

Dr Stiefel provided a wonderful experience. He was very through and professional, and made a very good plan to address my concerns. I felt really listened to, not rushed at all. I would highly recommend him!

Due to the lengthy waiting lists to be seen by the NHS, we decided to go down the private route and we're very glad that we did. Shortly after we had made the appointment, Dr Stiefel gave us a courtesy call to see if we had any urgent concerns that he could help with and to also advise us on a few things we could do ahead of the appointment - straight away this put us at ease. At the appointment Dr Stiefel was great with my 9 month old son - he reviewed his eczema and explained everything about the allergy testing - the appointment never felt rushed and he was very happy to answer all of my questions. There is alot of stigma around some of the eczema treatments - Dr Stiefel is very knowledgeable and was very reassuring which gave us the confidence to use them. With regards to the nut allergies my son has, Dr Stiefel kindly gave us a trainer epi pen and discussed what the next steps were - he made what was a very worrying diagnosis into something that is a bit more easier to deal with. Dr Stiefel gave me a call shortly after the appointment to see if we had any further questions, to give us more reassurance and to let us know that we can reach out to him if we thought of anything or had any concerns, which we were very grateful for.
